@thefloatybae @JoeLongBalls Persona is not a choiced base narrative series since 99.9% of the dialogue options have zero bearing on the outcome of the story. Since the story is linear anyway it wouldnt be hard to implement a MC with a bit of personality, even if they want to keep the no impact choices

@thefloatybae @JoeLongBalls This would be true for another game but we are talking about persona here. Outside of like a few important moments in late stage social links, the choice based dialogue has zero impact on anything going on in the plot and has zero lasting outcome. So yeah not hard to add

It fundamentally shifts the trajectory of game development. Injecting a personality into a character you control defeats the purpose. If mc needs a voice for every choice, the choices must narrow in scope and cease effecting outcomes. Case in point, cyberpunk.

@thefloatybae @JoeLongBalls You do realise persona is a game where half of it is clicking through a textbox? Cyberpunk has much superior gameplay and yet has a protag with an actual personality. Its not really that hard to add, and again it is just what I would prefer
