Every time I see a case of someone spinning a fake #cancer diagnosis into MASSIVE financial/social gain, I think: “Damn. I didn’t even do cancer right!” @ThanksCancer

The only days I missed were days I was hospitalized I would’ve been crushed if someone told me to stop writing and let AI take over NaNo thinks they’re fighting classism & ableism, but they’re really just being classist & ableist

NaNoWriMo posted their new AI policy: nanowrimo.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/artic… Their official position seems to be that it's ableist and classist to not support AI in writing.

I was diagnosed with cancer while I was working on a novel. If someone had suggested using generative AI on that project, I would have felt SO DEFEATED. @NaNoWriMo this policy is offensive to those of us who are clearly viewed as incapable and less than. You don’t speak for us.
