If birthright citizenship is interpreted to include anchor babies and birth tourism, then Chinese citizens can order ballots from swing states, and vote in every congressional, state, and federal election.
Chadwick Moore@Chadwick_Moore

New from me: Up to 1.5 million 'American' children are being raised in China thanks to birth tourism and a grotesque interpretation of the 14th Amendment. This decade, many of those kids reach voting age. nypost.com/2026/03/19/us-…

The purpose of all left-wing historical discourse is to delegitimize America, its history, its institutions, and its people. Today the Washington Post is bashing Caesar Rodney as an “enslaver” (the new, stupider euphemism treadmill iteration of slave owner) we should not commemorate. But the longer-term goal is to complain that our first president who is on every quarter and dollar bill was an “enslaver.” It’s to denounce America’s Constitution for being written by “enslavers.” It’s to turn America itself into a “slaver state.” They do this not for “healing” but as an act of aggression: They want to be able to loot and dispossess and perhaps even kill other people whom they resent for being better than them, all while claiming moral high ground. America’s founding heroes are not up for debate.
Craig Bruce Smith@craigbrucesmith

So Caesar Rodney who went on a “midnight ride” to Philadelphia to vote for independence (breaking a deadlock for Delaware) and then became a signer of the Declaration of Independence will be commemorated for the 250th anniversary and this is the headline?

@Zonalynn I don't think it was ever really in doubt that Bibi denies the divinity of Christ.

@BlakeSNeff BOTH WAYS ARE DENYING CHRIST. EXCUSE ME?? You are all ALWAYS trying to twist words to fit right for Israel. Charlie’s words and NOW EVEN BIBI’S?! He said exactly as he meant. You are disgusting Blake. This is blasphemy.

There are plenty of valid reasons to disagree with Netanyahu and his policies, but for crying out loud people, he is quoting a book by Will Durant (a guy you can find in every used bookstore). "Nature and history do not agree with our conceptions of good and bad; they define good as that which survives, and bad as that which goes under; and the universe has no prejudice in favor of Christ as against Genghis Khan." He's even quoted this same line in the past: jns.org/israel-news/ne…
Disclose.tv@disclosetv

NOW - Netanyahu: "Jesus Christ has no advantage over Genghis Khan. Because if you are strong enough, ruthless enough, powerful enough, evil will overcome good."

Even if he was, Netanyahu is not a Christian (few Israeli leaders are), not religious, and he is extremely clear about his intended meaning anyway, so it seems pointless to freak out about what he "meant." He's arguing that Western states need to be tough and use force to beat their enemies because being "good" isn't enough. Countless leaders have made the same point.

@BlakeSNeff Do you not think he’s paraphrasing, not quoting, an atheist whose philosophy places might and aggression over the teachings of Christ?

I love @nickshirleyy's work, but it's also clearly limited in scope. He creates viral clips and gets attention on undercovered stories. You need sustained investigation to track down paperwork, lay out more evidence, and build pressure, hopefully leading to real reform and convictions. Let me assure everyone, the left is absolutely not territorial about having a bunch of outlets gang up to push a story.

Seeing a lot of criticism on X about @BariWeiss and CBS following Nick Shirley on this story. Why not credit both? Independent journalists often surface the story. Legacy outlets can bring resources, scale, and verification. That’s not “copying.” It's how investigative journalism is supposed to work

@JPeazy97 I disagree with it too, but fixating on a nonreligious person saying "the universe has no preference for good over evil, so only strength will protect good things" is fishing for a reason to engage in hate.

CBS is continuing to provide the badly-needed "mainstream" media buttress to the viral work of @nickshirleyy, @christopherrufo and others. "The Merabi Professional Medical Plaza, a three-story, 32,000 square foot stucco and glass office building in Los Angeles, is home to a salon, a law office, a modeling agency, a realty corporation and, also, 89 licensed hospice companies." "[Regulators] found nearly 400 violations at 75 companies. One inspection cited a nurse who reported that a patient's family was satisfied with care, despite indications that no one from the hospice ever visited that patient. Another inspection of a patient's chart listed medications for malaria and diabetes. The patient told inspectors he wasn't taking either drug." @bariweiss making CBS News provide some serious investigation of viral right-wing stories is one of the most underrated developments in modern politics. The last piece of the puzzle is providing enough attention from federal prosecutors to rack up a serious number of convictions.

Truthfully a claim like this sounds so off-base it sets off my Gell-Mann alarm. Critical failure to understand ideology's power for most people in most places and most eras. I feel like this is a common error in analyzing historical or present-day regimes, but this particular instance is very glaring.

Noticeable error in author's discussion of Safavids. Safavids were a religious order with dynastic element which only gradually forged a dynastic state. Safavid religious policies were enacted out of sincere belief, not strategic calculation. Mathee's book has better discussion.

Tahmasp barely discusses his religious policy, and doesn't mention the hugely important importation & empowerment of Lebanese Shia clergy in Iran during his reign at all. He does discuss his mystical experiences in dreams at length, as was common for such figures.

Khamanei & the top leadership of Iran saw the widespread protests in September 2022 as evidence not of religious disillusionment or economic discontent, but as the products of USA plots aimed at destabilizing Iran at home to undermine Iranian successes abroad.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul admits that New York's tax cattle were "captives" stuck in Manhattan, and that remote work enabled thousands of them to leave. Now the state is going broke and she's begging them to return (she also begs "patriotic millionaires" to "cut me a check," lol). Gee, I wonder why "captives" might not want to return to captivity?
Matt Whitlock@MattWhitlock

Kathy Hochul making a weak plea for wealthy people who have left New York (to red states like Florida) to come back to pay their high taxes to fund failing (unaccountable) social programs: “I need people who are high net worth to support the generous social programs we have in our state. Some patriotic millionaires who stepped up. Ok! Cut the me the checks. But if you want to supportive, maybe the first step should be go down to palm beach and see who you can bring back home

Anti-eviction laws are a tax paid by everyone responsible and productive in society to its most irresponsible and parasitic. Where it's easy to kick out people who don't pay rent, rents for everyone are lower.

Veronica Hegens thought she’d made a sound financial decision in September 2023 by renting out her row house in Southwest D.C. Now the retired Army major is in danger of losing the property to foreclosure because of a tenant who hasn’t paid rent since October and who also has no immediate plans to leave. bit.ly/4bfbEC6

Basic economics: You get more of what you pay for! The fastest way to cut homelessness to zero would be to cut spending on "helping the homeless" to zero. The crazy should be in asylums, the criminal should be in prisons, and the lazy should be in a job.
Charlie Smirkley@charliesmirkley

Denver spent $684 million (tracked through city accounts only) on homelessness from 2023–2025. The city moved people into $59 K/year hotel shelters, and total homelessness went up from 4,794 in 2022 to 10,774 in 2025.
