Today, the FTC took another huge step in defense of children and parents. We have filed an enforcement action against the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) for making false and unsubstantiated claims about the safety and efficacy of medical transition procedures, and for providing to doctors the means to sell those procedures to children and parents.

I genuinely can’t believe a business thought it was a good idea to put this sign on their front door. I walked up with my kid today and was immediately greeted by a large sign that essentially said: “Kids are welcome… as long as they’re silent, invisible, and perfectly behaved.” It wasn’t just the message itself — it was the hostile tone. It made families with children feel like a burden before they even stepped inside. Look, if you’re running a public business, families are going to show up. That’s just reality. But this sign gave off serious “We don’t actually like kids, but please spend your money here” energy. It felt disrespectful and oddly arrogant. Honestly, I stood there wondering: Do they really expect parents to read this and still feel excited about giving them their business? I was this close to walking in just to ask if they’d say any of this to a customer’s face the same way it’s written on the door.
