after years of living a life i decided it’s enough and i wanna play again. gained 6.7k mmr and a headache. now i’ve got approx. one and a half friends on steam, not a soul to party with — and 250 doubledowns. so it’s either we get crusader or i catch up with y’all 50k mmr players

More tier 1 events need to adopt this. These are extremely fair and reasonable expectations for a co stream. Especially with how big of a platform ESL has.

Losing @IGFestUK (twice...) made me very nervous for the future of UK LANs. But honestly, looking around, the picture looks much healthier than I feared: 3 packed out @EPICLAN's a year. @EnclaveLAN are expanding from one event in their first year to two this year. A hugely successful @Dreamhack Birmingham and its immediate renewal for 2027. Riot are bringing VALORANT Masters to the Copper Box in London. Beyond that, we're seeing more grassroots LANs and offline Finals held at the likes of ConfettiX and @UniofStaffs by @ATLASdotgg, @EVCTournaments, @TheUKEL & @TheK1ln. The demand is still clearly there when events are properly built for gamers. Have I missed any 2026 LANs? Tag them so I can give them a follow.

@SamiOnEsports @IGFestUK @EPICLAN @EnclaveLan I've been to all 3. Amazing time and we cheer for the weirdest things haha. We have a big cheer when someone downs a drink, including a specific creep in game. We have a fascination with bouncing balloons around and finally we make sure at least one of the talent has greggs XD

@SamiOnEsports @IGFestUK @EPICLAN @EnclaveLan Whilst Dreamhack has locked in, ESL has still yet to confirm however they do have a Europe event happening within the same date so I'd be surprised if not. That being said. So far it's been in Birmingham in 2018, 2024 and 2026 so they might not. It's all theory atm

@SamiOnEsports @IGFestUK @EPICLAN @EnclaveLan Mhm! Dreamhack just tied with it and offered access to both areas but they are entirely separate entities. Dreamhack being very much open to whatever and ESL One Birmingham being exclusively a Dota 2 Tournament LAN

@LeCoq_79 Coming from the other UK Gaming thing that happened in Birmingham right next to the NEC (ESLOne). It's so much fun to see UK gaming truly having its comeback. That being said. ESL One has been in Birmingham 3 times over the course of 2018,2024,2026. Game knows game haha

Anyone else feeling the social hangover after #dreamhack? It was great to see so many people I haven’t seen in years, due to the lack of gaming events in the UK, but now I feel exhausted.
