@thef1diplomat @F1JayyUK If he wasn’t in F1 he would’ve been in WEC / IMSA and done all the endurance races. Sebastian Loeb & Colin McRae are well known racing drivers NEITHER done F1 and BOTH had their own computer games. The only F1 driver who had a computer game is Senna.

Max is all bark & no bite with his sentiments & statements re: F1 & regs. He’s achieved dominance in F1. Made all the money one could dream of. If he’s genuinely unhappy in F1, making snide remarks or digs, put your money where your mouth is, drive elsewhere. Protest accordingly.

@thef1diplomat @F1JayyUK My point is that Max is much bigger than an F1 ambassador, he’s an ambassador for the entirety of motor sport. Just look at the number of people who watched that race today that wouldn’t have done had he not been racing. Max would’ve found success without F1, he’s proved that.

I appreciate Max for his talent & his impact relative to Motorsport. I just wish as an ambassador (by proxy) of F1, as a dominant multi-champ, he polishes some of his statements while still getting his point across. It won’t buy him any favor at the commercial level. You know how F1 is. He doesn’t have to change, but that doesn’t mean he will be acquiesced.

@thef1diplomat Drivers should have to push flat out in qualifying. Cruising in parts because of battery issues decreases the skill gap between the drivers. T9 & 10 in Australia as a prime example.

So the real question: would you rather have a more exciting qualifying? Or would you rather have more exciting races?
