@MalePsychology @BBCNews @BBC I literally haven't watched the BBC in 15 years. Could be more (or live TV) for that matter. I don't pay their tax either. No one should.

@JamesLNuzzo The problem with all these studies is they use "young men/men" as a largely undifferentiated Western category. What could possibly be driving these people to lean more right? Gosh I wonder what that could be? 🤔

I think the present government has destroyed the relationship between the public and the Garda Síochána for good, Having a late lunch in a resturant and four members of the guards walked in three males and a woman. Suddenly the place went quiet, they were seated, Other customers and staff looking at them.
Their order was taken and shortly after the owner or manager went and asked them very politely to leave the premises as they were not welcome, that their presence was upsetting other customers and would they inform their colleagues they are not welcome either, As they walked out the door tail between their legs people clapped and cheered it was surreal.

I built CourtWatch.us — a free public database for American citizens who deserve safer communities.
You can track which judges released defendants who then got rearrested, skipped court, or violated their release conditions. All public records. All free.
I started with Orange County FL and will be expanding to all 67 Florida counties and eventually every state in the country. This first batch of info is from 2024 and since public reports are released in March/April for the previous year, data is behind. But I wanted to see if this is plausible. After adding 2024,I'll add 2025 and then figure out how to get real-time-data uploaded.
It's in beta — would love to know what you think 👇
Numbers don't lie, but criminals do.

Misandrist propeganda.
How about talking about teachers treating and grading boys worse across the board.
That's a proven fact.
This masculinity propeganda is just to distract from that systemic abuse.

Miracles Witnessed While Filming of The Passion of the Christ: ✝️
No Hollywood studio would agree to make The Passion of the Christ, so Mel Gibson decided to create his own production company and fund the entire film himself.
While casting the role of Jesus, Mel Gibson warned Jim Caviezel:
"Playing Christ will be incredibly difficult. If you do this, you'll likely be rejected by Hollywood."
Jim took a day to pray. Then he told Mel:
"We have to make it, even if it is difficult. My initials are J.C., and I am 33 years old. The same age as Christ. I didn't realize that until now."
Mel paused: "You're really scaring me, you know." And hung up the phone.
What followed was the most brutal movie role in Hollywood history.
– Caviezel lost 45 pounds
– Was struck by lightning twice
– Whipped accidentally, leaving a 14-inch scar
– Dislocated his shoulder
– Suffered pneumonia & hypothermia after hanging the cross for hours in only a loincloth
– Filming the crucifixion took 5 weeks
– Later required TWO open-heart surgeries due to stress from the role
And still, his purpose was clear:
"I didn’t want people to see me. I just want them to see Jesus. Conversions will happen through that.”
And they did:
- Pedro Sarubbi, the actor who played Barabbas, said of Cavezel: “His eyes had no hatred... only mercy and love.” He later converted to Christianity.
- Luca Lionello (Judas): Former atheist, converted to Christianity after the film & baptized his children
- A Muslim technician on the movie converted to Christianity after the film.
Countless millions around the world were converted to Christianity through the film.
It grossed $611 million worldwide, becoming the most successful R-rated film in history.
But more than that—it changed hearts around the world showing the true pain of Christ’s suffering.
Jim Caviezel now proclaims Christ boldly:
A role that nearly destroyed him became the one that saved countless others.

@GBNEWS Zero to do with masculinity. Some journalists aren't asking the right questions.

@MalePsychology I'd argue those who use this metric and have a monolithic framing; that is they assume any endorsement is pathological. Person centered analysis is more nuanced as men differentially endorse varying degrees of the construct. If you know of a better metric, I'll use it.
English

@BoydaDavid The bunch is limited but the MRNI is not the best because it lacks validity - it constructs masculinity unrealistically negatively.
English

The replication crisis is important, but old news.
The much bigger problem is the Validity Crisis in masculinity research.
Because of the validity crisis, we literally know less now than we did in the 1980s about men and masculinity centreformalepsychology.com/male-psycholog…

@MalePsychology Agree with the article John. The construct validity issues are problematic. Admittedly, I've been forced to use the MRNI in my own research only because it's the best of a limited bunch. I'm not aware of better-developed metrics yet. The field seriously needs them.

@RealPaulElam @hcpearson with a clickbaity title like that, you are actually side lining boys issues. Data speaks for itself 🤷♂️
3x ⬆️ suicide rate for boys aged 15-19
80 yg men in HE for every 100 women across 40 countries
Only 38% of boys feel comfortable discussing MH wth friends and so on.
English

@MalePsychology Also these studies treat masculinity as a monolithic entity. My recent research shows masculinity in groups of men in different types of magnitudes with high traditional masculinity in one very specific subset of men.
English

Apart from any other flaws it might have, this study raises all three red flags for paradigm fixation:
- Masculinity negatively defined
- Student sample
- Correlation treated as causation.
Same old junk science / smear campaign. Yet it will be treated as if it's important news.

@Heccles94 And the Far left was even second to Islamic extremism across the EU in last year's report!

@Heccles94 In the previous TE-Sat reports, the mythical far right are barely even blips... Here's this years. I suppose with some mental gymnastics, you could justify your cause.
