Ontario cabinet shuffle yields new Minister of Farming, Agriculture and Agribusiness ow.ly/Lu3s50SblVI #cdnag #ontag #westcdnag

@apasztor82 @Pasztor79 😭 I hope someday that someone treats us with the same respect ✊ as we age ! Nice to see folks taking time to share a positive experience with others Andy and Mike ! Great story !

Bill C-234 corrects a legislative oversight by providing farmers with justified financial relief by finally including propane & natural gas in the list of exempt fuels for on-farm use. Some of my colleagues in the Senate have worked to effectively gut C-234 by joining the AGFO committee and successfully pushing through a harmful amendment (in my opinion) to the Bill. C-234 received support from MPs in ALL PARTIES in the House (yes, all parties, including the Green Party). I hope to encourage my Senate colleagues to reject the AGFO report that contains this harmful amendment (in my opinion) and to support an unamended Bill C-234. Please watch my speech below if you'd like to understand my reasons. In these incredibly challenging times, why on earth would we punish our farmers for the carbon-emitting fuels that they MUST use to produce our food when @AAFC_Canada refuses to develop the framework necessary to incentivize and reward them for the carbon that they can and are sequestering in their soil? @CFAFCA @SenatorRobBlack @KodyBloisNS @BenLobbMP

Roller-crimping a fall-sown cereal rye #covercrop is a popular practice in some parts of the U.S. But it’s not as popular in #cdnag, as research on roller crimping as a weed-control strategy is lacking, according to @AAFC_Canada's @h_brackenridge. buff.ly/44pdlHf

Today marks the end of my 29 years with Brussels Agromart Ltd. Very appreciative of what I have been able to learn in my time there. Proud of the relationships I have formed with clients, staff and suppliers. Looking forward to what the future brings.
