David Peterson's last three starts:

@BrainGamesLINY @nypostsports @MikeVacc Man, you must be fun at parties, with your ZERO percent sense of humor.
English

Lenny Dykstra called Darryl Strawberry one day asking for money. Darryl knew it was to buy more drugs but he still gave it to him, hoping it would build trust and result in a call asking for help.
That's exactly what happened.
@MikeVacc on the story ➡️ trib.al/15X5gnO
English

@nypostsports @MikeVacc Yea, Straw prob gave him enough money to buy drugs for both of them.
English

@stefen_rosner @poniesNpucks @IslesInTheSound bitter? just a negative person? remarkably dumb? who can say, really…
English

@poniesNpucks @IslesInTheSound Why are you complaining about this?
English

I’m told the #Isles are recalling top forward prospect Victor Eklund (2025, No. 16) for their season finale vs. #CarolinaCulture after posting 9 points (2G, 7A) in his first 7 AHL games.
English

I'm really tired of this logic. Yes, #Isles didn't make it, but you talk like they had 65 points, not 91. They are missing parts for sure, but your record is what your record is, and these guys were better than many fans give them credit for. This fan base hates their team.
CAVENDISH@CAVENDISH8888
@JCapGLJ The isles are not good 5v5 They are even worse 5v4 The only reason why they almost made the playoffs is 3v3 which they are in the top 3 in the NHL They are not a playoff team
English

It's always in #TheSkinny:
Since the start of the 2019-20 season, the #Isles are 18-24-14 in matinees. (games starting before 5pm local time)
Keith Stevens@Keithwhat
The #isles play a must win in the dreaded 1:00pm time slot. Feeling nervous is an understatement. Anyone know their record in afternoon games in recent history? Pretty sure it’s bad. @ehornick ?
English

@DonnieWes_ @RTaub_ This isn’t fantasy hockey. there are guys in that locker room that were working their asses off. You reward that.
English

Hypothetically, let’s just say Mathieu Darche traded for Conor Garland (6-year contract) instead of Schenn, and the same thing happened with the team down the stretch.
Mind you, the #Isles would have probably parted with Aitcheson, a 1st and another piece, which was the reported deal before CBJ traded a 2nd and 3rd for him.
You think the fanbase is nuclear now…
English

@KingAgamemnon44 @PizzaSportsGuy Duclair and Shabanov are not going to be here. And I’d slot Brayden Schenn in for either of them regardless. And again - you all cream your pants over “1st round picks” - even 30-32 - the Isles still have theirs. COL’s was expendable. Next
English

@BrainGamesLINY @PizzaSportsGuy They have Heineman, Holmstrom, Duclair, Palmieri, Shabanov, Ritchie to choose from and if you want to add there are always cheaper FA options available. Trading a 1st for a 34 year old is idiotic, which is probably why you like it so much
English

He’s 34 and the point totals have gone down the last 2-3 years. He’s a fine player but he’s past his prime. The defense needs a reset around Schaefer too. But that’s back to the initial point. Would’ve rather held those assets to fix that.
Brian@BrainGamesLINY
@PizzaSportsGuy you guys keep saying “vets past their prime” but Schenn is producing at roughly the same rate he has for several seasons. Can we just start focusing on the fact that several blueliners need to move on? That would be nice.
English

@KingAgamemnon44 @PizzaSportsGuy who’s gonna play mid6 forward instead? I’ll help you out, it’s not going to be the 32nd pick in the draft. And it’s not Cole Eiserman yet. And if Eklund is ready they’ll find a spot for him. Lee’s not coming back and he’s the best FA option. Let me know who you come up with.
English

@PizzaSportsGuy @BrainGamesLINY I honestly can’t believe there are so many people on here who think this trade was smart asset management. The guy is 34 and has 2 years at $6.5 million left. These are the kinds of players we need to move on from, not trade 1st round picks for #Isles
English

@PizzaSportsGuy and now, you’re deflecting - I wasn’t initially - now I will be. This is how conversations go when one side consistently refutes facts. It gets irritating.
English

@BrainGamesLINY So you don’t mean to be condescending or you are trying to be? Confusing me now, Brian 😂
English

@PizzaSportsGuy they’re all facts - need a replacement for KP. not blocking a kid. producing at a 53 point rate since he’s been here which is literally his career average. if you and your buddies want to disregard those, then you don’t leave anyone any choice but to be condescending
English

@PizzaSportsGuy Because doom/gloom sometimes clouds rational thought. I think they needed a replacement for KP this season, and they got one. They can find a spot for him moving forward. He’s not going to block an Eklund from getting a spot, Cole isn’t ready.
Schenn ain’t the issue. Palat? …
English

@BrainGamesLINY It’s come off condescending pretty much the whole way, which is fine. The main issue is not the player itself, rather the process from the GM. Timing wasn’t right. They don’t need more 40 points forwards. Again, if you disagree that’s fine. All good.
English

@PizzaSportsGuy I’m not trying to be condescending but when I offer math and you refute it with sample size (irrelevant) while replying with age and prime, it’s just showing me that you’d rather die on your hill then rethink your stance
English

@PizzaSportsGuy I’m not arguing prime - I’m arguing math. Prime is subjective. Math is not.
No one likes math and science - I get it. But you can’t argue them. You can just choose not to understand it, I guess.
English

@BrainGamesLINY Brian, not gonna keep going back and forth with you on whether or not a 34 year old is in his prime or not. Will just agree to disagree here
English

@PizzaSportsGuy Guy, he’s had two seasons of 60+ points. Two.
He had 46 points in a full 82 games two seasons ago. He had 47 points in 82 games eleven years ago in Philly. Clearly, “age” wasn’t the issue then.
They weren’t trading for a 60 point player - that was never the idea.
English

@BrainGamesLINY No it’s par for the course for a 34 year old. Usually around the age guys start to regress. Look at the last two full seasons in St. Louis. If he comes back to 60+ points next season you let me know
English

@PizzaSportsGuy Well that’s just silly and a clear indication that you just don’t want to budge off of what you and Ethan and the other doom and gloomers want to sell for whatever reason
English

@PizzaSportsGuy you guys keep saying “vets past their prime” but Schenn is producing at roughly the same rate he has for several seasons. Can we just start focusing on the fact that several blueliners need to move on? That would be nice.
