Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it. ~Plato

Kelsi Mitchell and Aliyah Boston are the Jordan and Pippen of the Fever. Caitlin Clark is the Tony Kukoc.

@RepByRepX “Eating smarter” is about leanness. Training is about muscle development. If you want a smaller physique, then diet. If you want more muscle, then training. If you want to change your body composition to one of less fat and more muscle, then focus on BOTH.

Gym goers, what changed your physique more: training harder or eating smarter?

@Kxngstn_ Back Rows, because there are countless variations of rows with different equipment, angles, and hand positions, all of which hit the back differently for better total back development. And, most people can’t get the VOLUME of pull-ups necessary to induce optimal growth.

@turkwav Wow, you’re a real POS. Dude is obviously a work in progress to undo his PAST decisions. And you shit on him as he’s making positive changes, doing stuff you can’t do most likely. Maybe that’s why you’re an asshole troll?

If a “health and fitness pro or bro” insists that either cardio or lifting is better on its own for overall health than doing both in sufficient amounts, then their bias has overruled their objectivity, and you should question their judgement.

@Brady_H Both is literally better than either in isolation. And strength training vs aerobic for “healthspan” is more interesting than “lifespan” anyway…it’s the “life in your years”, just as much as the “years in your life”…

@foundmyfitness Where do steps fit? There is data that show an incremental & significant benefit vs all cause mortality with ⬆️steps (and faster walking). Could one infer that 8k steps plus strength training be sufficient without formal “cardio” if the HR rises sufficiently enough when walking?

Strength training for 90-120 minutes per week is associated with up to a 30% lower risk of death from all causes, CVD, cancer, and neurologic disease. That seems to be the upper limit - no additional benefit was observed above 120 minutes of strength training per week. These benefits were independent of total aerobic activity, but combining strength training with ~5-15 hours of moderate-to-vigorous-intensity aerobic activity reduced all-cause mortality risk by 45%! Clear message here is: "do both."

@foundmyfitness 5-15 hours is quite a range. Doesn’t seem right In other words, cardio is more important than strength training? Seems like not all factors are being taken into account.

@DiBrander In other words, both have good value (you don’t need actual pull-ups to strengthen the pulling muscles in a vertical plane), but that is different than trying to perform actual pull-ups. Both are two different approaches and have different applications.

@DiBrander Assisted pull-up is ok for some vertical pulling, but like Lat Pull-Downs, it doesn’t really transfer well to actual pull-ups. It’s just a closed-chain (hands don’t move) vs open chain (hands move) pulling action. IMO, “jump” pull-ups combined with slow negatives is better.

Some people would consider assisted pull-ups cheating. I prefer to see it as training wheels to help me progress to body weight reps. It’s good to use the tools available to you.

Not only is this NOT a foul, but, even if it were, they let Rhyne Howard defend Caitlin Clark like this the entire game. That constant contact at the meeting point was never a thing...until CC did it. I disagree. CC doesn't come forward AT ALL on her sliding. Great lateral movement. Jordin Canada basically face butts CC, hurts her face, gets rewarded for it 😂

@PastorDScott @FurbabyPaws @jasonwhitlock @buffalohunterCB RBs are less valuable than assists because they don’t always lead to points - especially when they are from your your own inept missed shots. Her awful FG % from within 5’ is hilarious compared to a guard shooting much farther away. And TOs come with the territory for playmakers.

@jasonwhitlock @buffalohunterCB She went 2-8 from the 3pt line, and 5 million people are supposed to be jumping up and down over 1 that she made? Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell both went 3-4 from 3, and there’s no mention. “They” didn’t kill her, she killed herself.
