37 years ago this week as a 16 year old laddie I swore the Oath of Allegiance and took the Queen’s Shilling to join the Scots Guards💂🏼🇬🇧 It was a privilege to serve both Queen and Country and to be part of a Band of Brothers that will last forever🙏🏼

Delighted to present DACO Bruce Farquharson with his retirement certificate and presentation axe today. 31 years of outstanding service working across many areas of the fire service, with notable contributions leading both the Scottish UK ISAR Team and SFRS Wildfire Strategy.

👏👏👏 After 30 years, 11 months and 24 days service, BLUE Watch DUMFRIES have this evening said good-bye to Ff Robertson. At 18:00hrs, SC Harvey piped Ff Robertson off the premises as he officially ended his duty. We wish Clayton a long and happy retirement! 🚒

Feeling hugely privileged to have represented @fire_scot today within Processional Group 7 at the State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II. As a former Scots Guardsman it was truly an honour to march up The Mall a final time with multi-agency colleagues from across the UK.

Am happy to be out this morning it’s a nice morning always smiling and I’m off to Glasgow for the day. Got some trucks to get photos off at hampden park area and yeh just a day to enjoy myself.
