@secnumbersguy The player who was supposed to be suspended … until Urban pulled an Urban and - er - rescheduled his suspension. You know Urban: discipline and accountability always his top concerns. 🙄

Florida vs South Carolina - 2006 Tim Tebow runs it in to take the lead late in the 4th quarter. South Carolina has an opportunity to kick a field goal to ruin the Gators National Championship hopes until Jarvis Moss blocks the kick and SAVES the season.

@FIVESTARINVEGAS @SportsBoyTony UNLV may not have had the hip hop vibe, but their affiliation with Tark AND Vegas guaranteed them a bad boy persona.

I just think wit Jalen being the bad boy from the hood and CWebb being the suburban kid obsessed wit hip hop it made them very relatable to my generation because at the time hip hop culture was still considered outside mainstream. They helped to introduce America to hip hop. I remember the media wrote some really nasty articles about the Fab 5 and it was completely because America was uncomfortable wit their unapologetically black approach. UNLV was just a great talented team. Culturally they weren't carrying a movement

Seeing the Fab Five discourse. They were awesome, entertaining and influential. But UNLV walked so the Fab Five could run. Villain role, shorts getting longer, plenty of bag men, all-black starting five, highlight-reel style, and they actually clobbered Duke to win the title (the year Ackles was injured).

Mfs talking shit about Dawn losing in the NATTY, citing her salary. While we pay the football coach twice as much and we aren’t guaranteed 6 wins every year. The football team, MBB, baseball don’t win shit. And you are complaining about the program whose floor is the FF. 🙄

I told you that the team that shoots better likely wins. SC has been terrible from the field. Too much one-on-one, forced shots, and just plain misses. Can’t allow too much separation.

The Carolina goal seems to have a lid on it. So many shots going in and spinning out. Just shocking. Same time, UCLA’s shots are ricocheting off the shot clock and going in. 🤬🙄

Always been a fan of Geno, but he may have just tainted his legacy. Carolina has taken a number of butt-kickings from UConn over the years, because they are well-coached and incredible players. But this is a bit of a black eye for him.

There is no player that is unstoppable. All players have bad nights. There may be a great defender that limits them or foul trouble could change the equation completely. So let them keep hyping Sarah Strong. Go right at her and protect the ball. #FinalFour #SCvsUCONN

@daniellelawrie5 How about this: teach the catchers to quit moving the pitches every dang time. If it’s a borderline pitch, hold the ball precisely where it comes in and wait for the call. There’s “framing” pitches and there’s moving it inward every single pitch.

Feel how you wanna feel, but I’ll be damned if this is a ball!! This is one of the best hitters if not the top hitter in the country you shouldn’t have to throw the ball over the heart of the plate to get a strike out. Umpires gotta be better.

Question. So we can get Tiger Woods body cam footage immediately but any time the public really NEEDS to see footage of something important there is always some difficulty, delay or denial! 🤷🏾‍♂️🤔 #TigerWoods #footage #DUI

A student-athlete turned in a 146-word essay about Rosa Parks — one paragraph, riddled with errors, no sources — and got an A-minus. That single paper helped expose the biggest academic fraud in NCAA history. For 18 years, from 1993 to 2011, a department secretary named Deborah Crowder ran fake courses at the University of North Carolina. @UNC The classes never met. There was no syllabus and no professor. Students turned in one paper per semester. Crowder admitted she never read them. She skimmed introductions and handed out A’s. UNC’s academic counselors steered athletes into these courses each semester, specifying what grades each player needed. Athletes made up 47% of enrollments despite being just 4% of the student body. Rashad McCants, a star on UNC’s 2005 championship team, told ESPN he made the Dean’s List without attending a single class. Ten of fifteen players on that title team were enrolled in paper courses. When whistleblower Mary Willingham revealed that 60% of athletes read at a 4th-to-8th grade level, UNC attacked her publicly and fans sent death threats. She was forced to resign. In October 2014, a 136-page investigation confirmed the scope: 188 fake classes, 3,100 students, 18 years of fraud. And the punishment? In October 2017, the NCAA ruled there were no significant violations. Zero penalties. No vacated wins. No postseason bans. @UNC calls themselves a bastion of academia. How incredibly pathetic.

Westlake HC Hilda Morris Hankerson on a similar promise Raven Johnson made in high school "I've never had a freshman speak to me like that. She said 'I'm gonna help these seniors win a state championship'...and we win the first one her freshman year" @GamecockWBB | @wachfox
Wendale Farrow@DellyWEN

In a workout last summer, Raven asked “Delly, what do you want to do? What are some of your goals?” I told her I wanted to go to Final 4 because I’ve never been. She says: I got you. I promise. We’re getting to PHX. It’s HARD. But, I got you. 5 straight for Raven! A WINNER!

@__MIKEYMAC__ I have no problem with a player being able to transfer once they receive their degree to a different school for grad school. That actually rewards the kids who are attending college to seek a degree, which should always be their primary goal.

The NCAA has to fix the portal issue. Either limit the number of times a player can portal or figure out a way to compensate the school that did all the work in developing the player. You want to know why no mid-majors made runs in this year's tourney? They're just farm clubs.

@JCI_JohnEvans @jasonwhitlock @TheDuke0525 They also cook the books. Women’s basketball has historically been packaged with other women’s sports in order to get those other sports some television time. The revenues are then divided between basketball and the other sports evenly.

@jasonwhitlock @TheDuke0525 You have NO IDEA what you’re talking about. The numbers in the article don’t factor in TV revenue. When that’s factored in the program doesn’t lose money. Additionally, we gain tremendous value in free advertising with the team’s exposure. Enrollment is the highest ever.
