Car insurance seems to not only be getting more expensive but also cutting coverage. Hey @BudgetDirect why can't I insure a new car with you if a learner driver is under 21 and may drive the vehicle at some point? But if the learner was 21 and a day that's ok?

@tonytardio @AAMI We are contacting AFCA about @BudgetDirect atm, they are trying to rip off a young couple 21 and 25 over a house insurance claim. They’re always quick to take your money but don’t like paying any out.

Time has come to reveal that I’ve not had a good experience dealing with @AAMI . Almost 7 weeks since my car was stolen they’ve been stonewalling paying me. I’ve escalated matter to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority. So everyone knows insurance company is @AAMI

Avoid @BudgetDirect house ins. Crap service when you need them most. Having worst claims experience. The constantly stuff up, miss info, provide us wrong info. Even told us claims officers “knock off” at 4pm EST. Too bad if you live in other states? #BudgetdirectFail

@BudgetDirect We will take this to the ombudsman. Have been run around for 6 months and left homeless while waiting on the outcome only to find a ridiculous offer to rebuild a 4 bed home. Not even a third of what it’s insured for.

@BudgetDirect pay an incredible amount for insurance that comes with roadside assistance- still waiting for help when they said max wait of 90mins. Call back to check status and told at least another 30 mins. No apology or anything. Hardly acceptable for what I pay

@BudgetDirect My insurance went up $1000 WTF? How? I’ve had zero claims and my insurance goes from $1600 to $2600 If I apply with my wife’s details at the same address with MORE coverage you quote $900, $1700 lower 😳 DO NOT use Budget Direct they are ripping customers off

@BudgetDirect These guys are scammers. I made a claim, claim was approved. Almost a month later I’m still having to call and chase them for the money not being paid over to my account. Next time I’ll rather pay more and go with a different company with better customer support.

Called @BudgetDirect at 3.25pm to ask for RA. Told 60-90 mins. Called them at 4.52pm after no contact for over 1.5hr. Told 60mins. Called back 5.58pm to be told there’s been a systems outage and they will request RA for me now !! I can see my safety is their priority …. NOT.

fyi just got 3pp car quote from #youi competitive price but ffs excess was nearly double everyone else!! back to @BudgetDirect to cancel their renewal as taking out new policy with them is cheaper! Insurers are ripoffs!!

@BudgetDirect very disappointed with them. They charged me twice and I have been trying to get refund and it’s been more then 10days and still they don’t bother to refund me . Hopeless company to deal with.

BEWARE!! do not buy @BudgetDirect insurance unless you enjoy being lied to and gaslit. I have never experienced such rude and unprofessional behaviour from a company.
