Not so good week on the road, went 0-3 bc we don’t have good situational hitting and we lost a few guys to grades😢 Batting: 1-9 w/ 3 BB, 3K Working on hip shoulder separation for more power instead of looking for walks Pitching: 5.1 IP, 64 P, 4 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, .211 BAA

Your best player is either raising your standard or lowering it. There is no middle. Leadership matters.

Good start to district against Lamar. Won 14-0 Lost 2-3 Went 2-4 with 2 RBI, 2 R, 0 K, 1 SB. Closed the 2nd game with 2 IP, 0 H, 0ER, 0 BB, 0 K, averaged 3 pitches per batter. Looking forward to continue dominating district!

Getting some extra work in the cages yesterday to prepare for district opener today against Lamar. Working on keeping my hips in sync with my hands, and keeping my body low to get more power.

Hitters with 2 strikes… Just an honest question to think about: Do you think an umpire is more likely to want to punch you out on a borderline strike, or call it a ball? 🤔 Your answer to this should be a huge indication of how you should approach 2 strike counts! You will make time for the things you prioritize in life. Get rid of the things that aren’t beneficial for your time. If you don’t make time for some things that you think you should, you need to rethink your priorities or reshape the way you manage your time. This hits HARD.

Their fun is getting stronger than you. Their fun is being the most prepared. Try it. You earn the right to perform.

Don’t expect results out of something that you don’t put your time into. Putting in the hard work every day is required if you want to get better, not some days.

Shift your mindset from hope to certainty.

0-0 curveballs have the highest run value out of all pitches, when thrown in zone. Why? Because it is a FREE strike. Curveballs are swung at just 23% of the time in 0-0 counts when it is IN ZONE. All 0-0 curveballs? Only 15% swings. Knowing this, if you can't land a curveball, it probably isn't a good 0-0 option for you. Understand what pitches you can land and can't. Understand what pitches you are trying to get swings on and which ones you are trying to get takes. Knowing who you are and the purpose behind each pitch is vital to your success.
