CAIR-Georgia welcomes news of Judge Stacey Hydrick’s Retirement which comes at a time when Georgia’s highest judicial watchdog, The Judicial Qualifications Commission (JQC) is investigating Judge Hydrick for public anti-palestinian/anti-muslim remarks she posted last year.

ICE agents are not above the law. That's the message our @CAIRMN executive director Jaylani Hussein just delivered on the street where an ICE agent shot a legal observer in the face, killing her. Local law enforcement must conduct an independent investigation into this shooting. Although we welcome the arrest of the individual who has once again allegedly attacked the Somali-American community at the same Virginia mosque, local and federal authorities must hold him fully accountable by filing hate crime charges. No one should be able to get away with repeatedly attacking the same house of worship. We must send a message that all faiths are welcome and safe in Fairfax County and throughout our nation.

Greg Abbott is an Israel First politician who has spent months stoking anti-Muslim hysteria to smear American Muslims critical of the Israeli government. Although we are flattered by his obsession with our civil rights group, his defamatory proclamation has no basis in fact or law. Unlike Mr. Abbott--who unleashed violence against Texas students protesting the Gaza genocide to satisfy his AIPAC donors--our civil rights organization is an independent voice that answers to the American people, relies on support from the American people, and opposes all forms of unjust violence, including hate crimes, ethnic cleansing, genocide and terrorism. CAIR has successfully sued @GregAbbott_TX three different times for shredding the First Amendment to benefit the Israeli government, and we are ready to sue him again if he attempts to turn this publicity stunt into real policy. The olive industry is essential to the survival of Palestinians in the West Bank. These violent settler thugs, encouraged and supported by the Israeli government, are intentionally seeking to deprive Palestinians of their livelihood. The Israeli government must be punished for its enabling of terrorist activity in the West Bank, which is ultimately designed to result in the ethnic cleansing of that illegally-occupied land.

The claim that London, a city dominated by the political left in a country run by a secular government, is somehow moving toward the establishment of Islamic law is a baseless claim meant to distract from the real threat to western societies: governments that sacrifice the free speech rights of their citizens for the benefit of the Israeli government and waste the taxpayer dollars of their citizens on a genocide, all under pressure from anti-Palestinian lobby groups. There’s a reason fearmongering about Muslims and Islamic law in western societies has kicked into high-gear in places as varied as Texas and the UK just months after the Israeli foreign ministry commissioned a poll that showed whipping up fear of Muslims was the best way to distract western audiences from the Gaza genocide.  Such conspiracy theories have repeatedly inspired extremists to launch violent attacks on British Muslims and others across the world, from the Christchurch mosque massacres in New Zealand to the Norway mass shooting and bombing to ongoing attacks on mosques in the UK. From America to the United Kingdom, most people are not falling for this nonsense again. They want their governments to stop cracking down on peaceful protests, censoring social media, threatening free speech, and funding genocide for the benefit of a rogue nation.

CAIR-Georgia is deeply concerned by reports of threats against several Atlanta HBCU's and others across the country, and hope everyone stays safe.
