@BurkettCarl Near Long Point the ridging and Rafting are pretty heavy. The Ice Service Specialist in Montreal gave us an excellent ice route (based on Canadian RADARSAT) to avoid most of it.

@BurkettCarl Rafting is when one pan or large chunk moves on top of another pan, this in effect doubles the thickness when the pieces freeze together.
