@CCGcap10 Is central hurting for skippers badly or are you just wanting to keep your feet wet?

@BatlicKapitein Ecospeed? Are charterers requesting reduced speeds to minimize fuel costs?

Lower Lakes Towing is officially no more. Not sure when they're going to put the bears up on the fleet.

@BartGonnissen Looks like one of those coin operated massage chairs you see in airports/truck stops. Wonder if the owners collect the coins out of it during internal audits?

➡️The toll Iran is charging for safe Hormuz passage is $2million. ➡️ India, Pakistan, Iraq, Malaysia and China are in direct talks with Tehran, coordinating vessel transits via an emerging IRGC-run registration and vetting system lloydslist.com/LL1156656/Iran…

The closed Strait of Hormuz is testing Asia’s energy security. The answer lies across the Pacific—in Canada Canada offers Asian buyers a faster, cheaper and geopolitically safer route that can skip Hormuz and other chokepoints like Malacca and the South China Sea altogether. fortune.com/2026/03/15/asi…

@FoodProfessor For #2, I've never seen so many sales on awful looking US strawberries this winter. Taste like crap, look like crap, and clearly nobody was buying many of them - sitting there going moldy at $2.50 a pint.

@VanIsleInvestor I would also like to see some development at Churchill. I don't think a pipeline project to there would be bogged down by protestors and tensions considering the port is owned by First Nations and they want it. And the MB Premier also being in support. Could be a good opportunity

The estimate is we send 4.5 million barrels a day. At this differential of $15.64 this is approx. $70.4 million a day or $25.69 Billion a Year Savings for the U.S. Hopefully one day Canadian Oil will be close to the same price for everyone...or we negotiate an incredible deal with the U.S. The savings for the U.S. should be calculated for every barrel we ship them into the negotiations.

@VanIsleInvestor Yup. Every time I see a foreign tanker filling up the power plant with Bunker C here in Halifax Harbour it blows my mind. Cheaper to pay Brent+freight than to use domestic - crazy how much we hamstring ourselves TMX is proving it's value quite well, and a eastern pipe is needed

@jbgreenan @davidakin @davidakin is the large percent change to DFO most likely due to moving the CCG to DND? Looks misleadingly large without context.

@wesley_davidson Don't forgot about the quite substantial discount WCS (Western Canada Select) trades at versus WTI (West Texas International). So they get one hell of a deal out of us.

No surprise with Nova Scotia coming in as a winner in a contest no sane person should want to win 1st place for gov spending and income taxes. Yet likely last place for services and infrastructure I need to hurry up and move back to Ontario #nspoli
The Fraser Institute@FraserInstitute

The data is clear: total government spending in 2024 was far above the level that maximizes economic growth. Optimal range? 26%–30% of the economy (GDP). Reality across provinces? 30.4% to 61.2%. Learn more: fraserinstitute.org/studies/size-o… #cdnpoli
