@Nephalimeald @FootballTalkHQ It's at sunset. That's the whole point. If sunset is in the 63rd minute of the game, then thats when they must break their fast.

@CFC_Sort @FootballTalkHQ They could just have their energy bars/drinks to break fast in a break in play at any time absolutely no need to put it on the screens as some religious routine.

🗣️ Samir Nasri on Ramadan: "Why should coaches need to know if players are observing Ramadan? In my day, no one asked me, 'Are you fasting for Ramadan or not?' We're in a secular country; normally, religion should stay in the private sphere. Does the coach go to Catholics and ask if they're observing Lent? Why wasn't this question about Ramadan an issue 20 years ago? This question shouldn't even exist. You know it's Ramadan season, you know more or less which players on your team are Muslim. You watch the matches; if a player is underperforming, you sub him out, that's it. Why go and ask him if he's fasting for Ramadan? Because he's fasting, are you going to look at him differently? It shouldn't be a thing to ask your players not to fast. Karim Benzema, he's at his best when he's under Ramadan. Do we talk about that too? Everyone has their own experience. Some players are carried by their faith too, and that, you can't know. Some eat McDonald's and score hat-tricks; there's no logic to it."

@Chambo_afc @brmdlucas @FootballTalkHQ How many of those people you know "skipped lunch" and had 0 water from 7am to 7pm? Also, how many are professional atheltes whogo to the gym AND play top-level football multiple times a week (not just weightlifting). Nothing is impossible, but safety measures are needed

@CFC_Sort @brmdlucas @FootballTalkHQ Brother they are not eating/drinking for like 13hours that‘s it. Literally just skipping lunch. Ofcourse it‘s not ideal but you are acting like they are starving for 3days straight. Skipping lunch is not even hard at all, many people i know do that since years every day.

@brmdlucas @FootballTalkHQ You’re still flattening the point. “Not automatically banned” does not mean “no danger” or “no added risk.” Elite football is about marginal physical differences, and fasting without water can affect hydration, recovery and output. That’s my point

@CFC_Sort @FootballTalkHQ No my original point is that you in your original response said it's Dangerous to "fast" for Muslim athletes. When it simply isn't "dangerous" otherwise football clubs wouldn't be allowed to play them.

@brmdlucas @FootballTalkHQ You’re arguing against a point I never made. Nobody said the body can’t function for 12 hours, the point is that elite athletic performance is not the same as basic function. No food or water all day affects hydration and recovery. Can cope ≠ best and safest condition to play

@CFC_Sort @FootballTalkHQ Idiotic is thinking that the human body especially bodies as physically honed as professional athletes bodies are, can't perform without water or food for 12 hour periods. They will have had substantial fluid and food intake in their dawn meal. They aren't immaciated.

@brmdlucas @FootballTalkHQ You reply like an idiot so you get idiot-like replies. I specified (in big letters for you 😀👍) "OR WATER", and you completely ignored the hydration aspect of things. Just went back to food

@JBarbosa73 @FootballTalkHQ I don't understand the first statement. But the racism thing was just an example, I'm aware it's irrelevant to the conversation, but as i said before, it's just an example. Im basically saying just because it was normal 20 years ago, doesn't mean it's good

@CFC_Sort @FootballTalkHQ You say fast like they are going without food for days on end, they have essentially skipped lunch. They still consume meals twice a day.

@Arteche1699213 @FootballTalkHQ Its about the hydration. Ramadan is a dry fast, no water or food from dawn to dusk. Training without water is a huge injury risk. It’s way more physically intense

@CFC_Sort @FootballTalkHQ That is a private matter, nobody is doing anything special during the lent for Catholics or special menus for jewish people like they do with Muslims

@CFC_Sort @FootballTalkHQ He’s not saying players didn’t fast… he’s saying there wasn’t the fuss there is now; games stopping deliberately for a Ramadan fast break with stadium announcements, etc. He’s saying let players fast, what’s the big deal?

He is 25 years old His unusual diet includes hearts, liver, and raw milk (plus 6,000 calories daily) Wakes up every day to the Champions League anthem as his alarm tone. He won't play for Manchester United, partly because Roy Keane wrecked his dad's knee in 2001. His dad (Alf-Inge) played for Manchester City As a teen, Haaland rapped in a group called Flow Kingz and dropped a track that got millions of views He idolized Zlatan Ibrahimovic growing up as his football hero He follows Cristiano Ronaldo's style of strict diet discipline off the pitch Haaland was eligible to play for England (born in Leeds) but chose Norway He tried cross-country skiing, athletics, and other sports until age 14 before focusing on football Sneaked sweets and watched Hannah Montana in his room during U-16 camps He meditates to stay calm and hates stress. He says it really works for him and that's why he also celebrates goals with a lotus yoga pose. As a kid he dreamed of being Superman/Clark Kent, but now he's basically a real life football cyborggg... Lol . . . . Erling Haaland has always been a tall huge figure, even right from childhood. People often referred to him as a man child. But let me tell you what he did that you can emulate also Haaland used his features to his best advantage He knows he's tall and huge. And he knows that athletics or sports is one of the best ways to actualise the full extent and capacity of his body advantage. So he tried doing lots of sporting activities before settling for football at age 14 . . Now take a good look at yourself brother/sister What is that one thing that you know very well is an advantage for you? Is it your intelligence? Your body build? Your swiftness? Critical thinking and problem solving? Giving emotional closure to people? Etc... That one advantage you have that you know many don't. I want you to sit down today and plan EVERYTHING POSSIBLE that centers round that one advantage you have. Probably one can click for you so well that it becomes what will take your life to the next level. But if you don't try, we can never tell . . . ✍️ Vincent the Therapist
