Some people just can't tell the difference between questions of policy and questions of law. Whenever anyone says the law is X, Hammer just hallucinates "I want X," because he can't imagine judges who follow the law whether they like it or not.

What’s with the GenZ tech illiteracy? I TA for an undergrad law class, and despite our repeated reminders to submit assignments as a .docx, every time there’re at least 3 students who say they don’t know how to use Microsoft Word or they have trouble uploading a word doc. HOW?

Please don’t end “whether” QPs with question marks — these are declarative, indirect questions. QPs end with question marks when they are complete sentences beginning with can/should/does/etc.

@Vibutler_ Consider instead Art. III s.2, which says the judicial power extends to “all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution.” How do cases in “law” (action for damages rather than injunction) “aris[e] under” the constitution if it didn’t have a COA?

One of my most crank legal opinions is that the Petition Clause actually means that all constitutional rights must be self executing and statutes likely have implied rights of action
