[best life advice you'll ever see]
Pure aim at it's highest level is the purest form of skill expression. Especially when we lack the physical ability to actually handle weapons in the same way in real life.
Now the tank and support players will of course argue their role takes more skill. These 2 roles scale more around decision making, positioning, timing, teamwork or simply game sense if you will.
But get this, these things are often tied to the game's balance, one nerf or change and your ability goes with it. Aim will always be pure.
That's not the point though, the point is everything outside of pure aim can be applied to real life and you'd think all these tank/support players would apply all that smartness in real life for a better life and yet they can't. Makes you think.
I've always played video games for pure mechanics, I could give 0 shits about game sense, teamwork, strategy and all that stuff because I actually save that energy for actual real life. If you are someone that does the opposite, 0 effort in sharpening your mechanics and only do "smart" roles in a video game you're literally admitting you're not that smart if you can't apply it to real life and basically gave yourself a sense false of smartness because you rely on a game's design to shine.
Life however isn't a design, it's unpredictable. You can't just counter-swap to make things better, it's all about the pure grind and endurance, the same process required to achieve highest level of aim.
This mindset rules over the game sense mindset in the end.
