Bury Secondary Schools Linking Programme launched last week. Funded by @TheAJR_ and @Linking_Network, the project has a focus on Holocaust Memorial. Led by Holocaust Arts educator, @CSlifkin and @FairFutures1 director Janet Holden, the event welcomed students from 4 Bury schools

Y9 learners had time to start thinking about & planning their self-portraits. We will explore more about identity and art by Holocaust survivors in our first paired school art sessions. We are looking forward to the paired school sessions and seeing how their artwork develops 3/3

There were activities allowing for great interaction between the Y9 learners. To start exploring our connections, similarities & differences. We explored the powerful self-portraits of Holocaust artist Felix Nussbaum, diacussed how he expressed his Jewish identity in his art 2/3

I am really pleased to be invited to speak by the Association of Jewish Refugees for their important international conference: Remembering & Rethinking 2025: Teaching and Learning About the Holocaust. On the Holocaust across the curriculum panel.

Always a wonderful day working @HorwichParishCE with their amazing Y6 pupils and staff. Such sensitive and thoughtful creative reflections, each group making a suitcase representing their Kind. @BoltonACIS @HolocaustUK

Y6 groups represented the story of an individual Kind with their suitcase, 10 Kinders in all. The Y6's sensitive & thoughtful creative reflections will be displayed in Bolton for HMD 2026, 'Bridging Generations, at Bolton Central Library from 26th January 2026 for two weeks. 2/2
