What Apple Watch health metrics have you actually found useful? What happens when we transplant cancer survivor patients ? Cancer survivors are 4 times more likely to develop de novo malignancy post transplant, however, despite that their survival is comparable to contemporary survival of heart transplant patients. More by Dr Raikhelkar

This month, the cardiac surgery team @ColumbiaMed/@nyphospital completed their 300th robotic heart surgery, placing the program among the largest and fastest-growing in the U.S. 👏 As Dr. Emile Bacha explains, robotics transforms both visibility and recovery: “When you insert the camera, you can see the heart from angles you simply can’t with open surgery… And by avoiding a sternotomy, you avoid what patients struggle with most after surgery—the bone incision.” Led by @ArnarGeirssonMD, the program has achieved a 99% mitral valve repair rate, with 99% of cases completed without conversion to open surgery, a testament to an extraordinary multidisciplinary team.
