@logorn_gadum my personal theory: The needler is able to be reloaded normally but the crystal ammo is too volatile to be carried around like a normal mag so they put it in a safe storage just like when they want to recharge their plasma weaponry.

What do you actually do with the needlers once their empty? Did the Covenant make a refill mechanism or once its internal crystals run out its useless?
