Ironically this improves energy security which is something Reform repeat, just not benefitting their donors 🤷‍♂️

I have no sympathy. It's not his job to confront shoplifters, that's what the police are for. Call them and get on with the job you are paid to do by the company that employ you. These citizen police get what they deserve. Imagine if he decided wrongly, you were a shoplifter and threw you out of the store. How would you feel then? He was explicitly told by Morrisons not to confront shoplifters. He broke that rule of employment in just the same why he would have by turning up late for work all the time or leaving work early or not doing some other aspect of his job. He was on a power trip and it's backlashed on him.

A Morrisons store manager says his life has been completely 'devastated' after he was sacked for confronting a repeated shoplifter.  Sean Egan - who had worked in the Aldridge Morrisons in the West Midlands for 29 years - was escorting the shoplifter out of the store when the thief turned aggressive.

I wrote to Keir Starmer warning him not to appoint Matthew Doyle to the Lords due to his connection with a convicted paedophile. He ignored those warnings. And it now turns out he had even higher hopes for Doyle. Just extraordinary.
