I know I’ll get hate for this or get a bunch of “I ain’t reading allat” but idc. Before I saw the video, I was expecting something along of the lines of “gay ppl should all die and go to hell” or “what a bunch of f*****s.” Instead, it was simply a man expressing his distaste with something he disagrees with. The same way people who don’t follow the faith have been (and have ALL the right to) expressing their disapproval for Christianity. Everyone should be able to express agreement or disagreement with ANY religious stance. It is EVERYONE’S basic human right to express their religious/non-religious beliefs without the consequence of losing their jobs or being corporally punished. Which also brings me to my next point. How is it that Ivey can be cut from an NBA team for not agreeing with things that contradict his religious believes but guys like Nick Bosa can wave their pompoms for Trump and openly advocate for literally the closest thing we’ve had to Hitler since WW2 and he receives no punishment for it? Bosa’s stances are chalked up as “he’s entitled to his political views” but Ivey isn’t entitled to his religious views? I’m not saying that Bosa should be punished for his political views. On the contrary, as much as I dislike him and strongly disagree with his political views, if I’m to expect the world to accept my Christian views and beliefs and my right to believe these things, I have to be able to accept everyone else’s right to do the same, no matter how strongly I disagree with anyone. Also, hypocrisy with professional sports is amazing here. The only reason Ivey is being cut instead of fined/suspended is because he’s expendable. If Luka, Giannis or any NBA superstar said exactly what Ivey said, they would most definitely not be cut. We’ve seen many star athletes face lesser consequences more much more egregious crimes (Deshaun Watson, Myles Garrett, Antonio Brown to name a few). But they can get away with it because they are/were too valuable. Lastly, to the crowd that disagrees with what he said and commends the Bulls on cutting him, please know that the Bulls don’t actually give a shit about anybody’s views or stances. The NBA, NFL and really any multi-billion dollar organization couldn’t give less a shit about BLM, LGBTQ or any movement whatsoever. Everything they do is strictly meant for profit and driving viewership. They do not have morals or values. They are driven by money and absolutely nothing else.

The Chicago Bulls are waiving guard Jaden Ivey after his recent anti-LGBTQ comments amid several rants on religion and other topics, sources tell ESPN.

The people rallying behind Jaden Ivey claiming he’s being persecuted must have forgotten about the Orlando Magic’s Jonathan Isaac, who is anti-BLM, didn’t stand for the national anthem when his teammates took a knee, developed a clothing line that he said was an alternative to “woke” companies like Nike (his words), publicly criticized the White House under Joe Biden for Transgender Visibility Day and even spoke at Charlie Kirk’s Believer’ Summit. Still cashing NBA checks.

@DevaronPerry To be honest, I think cases like this, no matter what stance is espoused, is good in the big picture. It shows people, even if subconsciously, that there is no soul in these organizations. It’s all about money. I hope LBJ starts a new league and it replaces the NBA

@CalmSafeheart And you won’t find me defending any of those individuals. The reality is that the NBA is a business that employs a lot of people they shouldn’t

Such a pathetic conclusion to come to. I wouldn't consider myself "liberal" or "conservative". Too many people hiding behind faceless accounts, such as yourself, boil things down to this or that. Not everything is political pussy.
