@AlejandroZayas @sbirlios It's surrounded by mountains that block out sunlight, so sunset happens early leaving it dark.
The town itself is full of meth/crack heads, so its dangerous once its dark.
Visually, it's beautiful & pleasant to camp at / drive through.
Not a nice place to live though.

Not a city but Hope, BC is the most sinister place I have ever been to. Terrifying town.

Miles away, the Americans would extinguish active forest fires.

Only a year later; the courts have gotten around to letting us know it was illegal to close all public lands to *checks notes* walking, for fear of forest fires.
