@JoshYohe_PGH 16 loser points. Just win HALF of those and you're sitting in first place in the metro and not worried about the rest of the conference.
This is why OT/SOs matter. But the pens haven't addressed it in half a decade. It's a horrible trend that's getting worse every season.

@bwstanley26 @UserFinn1x Sorry bro but how about a celebration when we win. I get it we are not a perfect team but let’s have some fun rather that being insufferable and constantly perservating on all the shit we need to improve. Like not shit I hate giving up 3rd period goals too.
English

@UserFinn1x How exactly does a statistical fact age poorly?
They had a poor start to the game. I commented on it. They played… better, I guess, but still VERY sloppy. Especially defensively. They allowed four goals in the third period, and you’re trying to take a shot eh? Odd decision.
English

@THEChrisMack Holy shit after tonight, I’ve developed a healthy dislike for penguins fans, crying like a bitch over the refs. Holy shit you do realize you were gifted a 5 on 3 and had twice any pp
English

@jennabeee22 @NHL Once again, another penguins fan crying like a little bitch - you had twice as many Power plays as us and we were even on dives one from malkin and one for Hall - chill out you lost and if our goalie wasn’t complete as you would’ve got your ass kicked
English

These fucking refs….. could you call
It any later?!
So sick of Brind’amour is a whiny bitch who the refs spoil like the twat in Willy wonka.
@NHL you will never be seen as anything other than a garage league for the shit you allow.

@JoshYohe_PGH @ScoutingTheRefs Hey, ask clown next time get your call right try again
English

@beichinger_ @JoshYohe_PGH Malkin definitely dove so did Hall. The fact that you guys are complaining about the refs is laughable?
English

@JoshYohe_PGH The hurricanes commentators think it’s the other way around. Never heard crying like that on air. Called Malkin a diver and said nothing about Taylor hall.
English

@OCLion @MikeBartner You’re kidding right buddy did you see the dive by Malkin come on fella don’t be a fuck stick
English

@MikeBartner Carolinas fourth goal was a joke. Aho dove on the Crosby supposed trip. They never should have had a power play
English

Thanks for nothin Carolina. 🤬

PENGUINS GO FROM DOWN 4-3 TO UP 5-4 IN A MINUTE WITH LESS THAN 5 TO GO 😱🚨 HUGE FOR THEIR PLAYOFF ODDS 👏👏😭
English

@AvsCanesFan Yeah because hockey is that linear 🙄 every time a worse team beats a better team means they are guaranteed to beat another better team the next time
English

The Penguins embarrassed the Avs last night 7-2, and the Blue Jackets dominated the Canes 5-1 tonight.
Tomorrow night, the Canes get to face the Penguins after traveling back home to Raleigh from Columbus. Yikes.
😬🫣😵💫 #CarolinaCulture
English

@TheWarningTake It's kind of a shame the Canes didn't send him down before the trade deadline though. Nobody was taking that contract for a player who is basically Tyson Jost, and he might have been useful to the Wolves for their playoff run.

@KurtSupeCPA @JT69704577 Wow, this is bullshit. I don’t care if they’re in the Midwest or not - two executives at large companies are not making $140,000 a year with short and long-term bonuses. Nice try.
English

@JT69704577 People on the East and West coasts don't realize that executives in the Midwest and South earn substantially less
But their cost of living is also dramatically lower.
This is well in line with exec pay where they live
English

A couple 58 and 59 years old
Both executives at large corporations
Decades of climbing the ladder
Here is their situation
Combined income: $280,000
401k balances: $2M
Brokerage account: $540,000
Home: paid off
Pension: none
Healthcare: unplanned until Medicare at 65
Social Security: planning to claim at 62
They were exhausted
Both wanted to walk away from their jobs today
Their question to me was simple
Can we retire right now
Most advisors would run a Monte Carlo simulation and hand them a number
We did something different
First we told them to stop planning to claim Social Security at 62
Waiting until 67 would add over $1,100 a month per person for the rest of their lives
Then we built a healthcare bridge using their brokerage account to cover the gap until Medicare at 65
Then we started Roth conversions immediately to shrink the IRS's share of that $2.1 million before RMDs hit
They had the green light to retire
But the real work was building a plan to maximize every dollar
Most people spend 30 years focused on saving the money
Very few have a plan to maximize it once it is time to use it

@BoltsBreakdown @BangedPat You had 2 shots in the 3rd and got owned.

Rapid Reaction || 4-2 Loss (CAR):
Jon Cooper told the media a few days ago he didn't wave the pompoms when we went 20-1-1, and he said he's not waving the white flag now (paraphrasing); still, if Coop isn't panicking, neither should we.
Tonight was another disappointing loss — for sure — which sucks. It seems we've dug ourselves into some really poor habits, some really poor decisions, and we're struggling to get out of it.
It happens to every team, though; it's all good. Even the Sabres will start losing eventually...so, no need to panic.
Fact is, I was not impressed with the start tonight, not at all. But, I liked the response in periods 2 & 3. We put forth a gutsy effort, and that's nothing to scoff at.
As disappointing as the result is and as much as I thought we deserved a better outcome, the final score is the final score; we can't change that.
I think the puck luck went the other way:
First off, I thought the Hurricanes' first goal should've never counted...it was a delayed penalty & Hedman touched the puck. Right then, Right there, the refs should've blown the play dead. Instead, Carolina leads 1-0.
Secondly, how on God's green earth did the Canes' 3rd goal get in the net?! Are you kidding me...sharp angle shot deflects off of Hedman into the net...again, bad puck luck.
Finally, I thought the officiating was suspect tonight. I never like blaming the refs, but I want to make that known as it is another component of this "bad puck luck" I refer to.
At the end of the day, it's another loss. When will it end?!
Some closing thoughts:
1) Hedman & Chucky have got to shore up their defensive mistakes. No one is immune (except maybe Girgy, please heal fast), but those two in particular really struggle handling the puck — at least as of late. It's infuriating to watch...how many times can I scream, "HEDDY!" or "CHUCKY!" in one night?!
2) The Hounds were on fire tonight, definitely our best line. It's good to see them buzzing again; they were so crucial in our run of success.
3) Kucherov looked ill tonight. It was the first time (against CAR) since his very first game against Carolina that he was held without a point. I'm not sure what got into him, but let's hope he plays a little better on next week's roadtrip.
————————————————
Lots of hockey left to be played...Don't give up on the Lightning now.
We're still the same team that went nearly unbeaten for 2 months, don't forget it.

@bwstanley26 Do you care to make any amends to your little bitchy posts? They seem to only happen when things don’t go their way, but very little in the way of encouragement when they win.
