This is all I see on social media now. People break a prop firm rule. They come on social media to bitch about it to think that will in fact help their situation. They give you 1% of the story and omit 99% of the actual factual information based on their trading. You do know if you don’t like prop firms you got free will to not trade with them right. Prop firms are the greatest opportunity for traders it changed my life. It’s sad that people try to cheat the system, break rules, manipulate them and then ruin it for actual traders. And anyone who doesn’t like “Prop Firms” go trade your “Live” account nobody is stopping you.

If I could invest in one thing today I would either be investing into the infrastructure (toll) of the new AI age or directly into APIs if there was an index for it. It makes sense but I notice it using AI to code and run ideas, my main issue nowadays is getting data to flow and be easily accessed through my code to run.

The trading space year after year, continues to be disappointing. After covid, we had so many bad actors enter in where the focus shifted more into being an influencer and shilling nonsense to people that don’t know any better, instead of being a “good” trader. Most of what you see online, it’s just marketing. Focus on you, don’t trust anyone in the space. No one will come and save you besides yourself.

I’ve been telling my friends, Chat is a toddler compared to Claude A.I. The biggest problem right now is writing the correct prompts. Once you get that skill set down, the world is yours. Try Claude out for a month and you’ll understand what I’m saying is valid.

yes, it's less than 1% and arguably, even though profitable - most will underperform a buy and hold strategy. that being said - the risk is worth the reward if you came from a poverty background as I did in central milwaukee. the opportunity to move from lower to middle to upper class does not exist on any other path - unless you have deep connections or win the lottery. even white collar fields have lower and lower salaries over time. I got further going on my own than I ever did working for a hedge fund.

You’ve got to ask yourself every morning..Are you willing to die for this shit? How bad do you actually want to make this work? You’ve already seen what lengths the greats are willing to go to make it work. We’re in a field where less than 10% make it long term. Why do you think you can half ass it and get even 10% of their success? Get to work.

This is fair but I’m not here to talk about my P/L. Every now and then is cool but my page is more so to tell my experiences working in the finance industry as a professional portfolio manager/trader. I manage over half a billion. Private wealth management is different than Hedge fund management. We work with private equities, hedge funds, mutual funds, and etc. I still trade daily but a good amount of it is swing trading. I’m only 30 and still learning daily even though I’ve been in the finance space for 8 years now. I’d eventually want to pivot back into prop or hedge fund space but for now I’m happy where I’m at and just want to continue to gain more experience and stay grateful for the opportunity.
