@elementgermani3 Close, but not quite right. You cannot gain wisdom without power. It would be too incomplete. The process is like breath. In comes the power, it is processed and wisdom is its output, then the next power, and so on. Problem is, our power is multiplying beyond our breath.

@Capstah Power without wisdom is self-destructive, but wisdom without power is helpless. To move forward, we need both the knowledge of what to do and the power to do it.

This is a very bad thing. I hope its fake. We have enough weakness in our society. The last thing we need is more. If you can't win the race as a sperm (the single qualifying physical test for life), then you don't get it.

How often do you think this happens? If it happens even once per year in your county, how can you support the police and drug laws? Can you imagine your own kid's future being totally ruined by filthy animals such as that guy? That's wood chipper type stuff, right there.

@Capstah Tbh, you could even argue this is part of evolution. In nature, animals take every reproductive advantage they can get. The fact that it’s made of metal doesn’t change that it’s still another human being born, that’s an advantage from an evolutionary perspective.

@elementgermani3 I appreciate that. I have a deep, spiritual respect for nature and the 'map' as it might be called. That accompanies the misc. evolved systems that allow us, and the other life, to exist in it. Due to that, the cartoon villainy, to me, is needing robots so we can procreate.

@elementgermani3 You are arguing for the point of arguing, at this point, methinks. That said, I would indeed argue that if it comes to the point where humans need robots to inseminate an egg using robots as the default means, humans have outlived their usefulness and would rep disequilibrium.

@Capstah But the generalization fails here because the target is different. In those systems, the only “goal” is any stable equilibrium, whereas here the goal is human flourishing. A stable equilibrium where humans don’t flourish isn’t a desirable outcome.

@elementgermani3 Let me make the point associativity (generalist). What happens when a virus is too lethal? What happens when a predator species is too effective? What happens when a browsing species over populates? They die enough to reduce their population to a balance point. Same mechanism

@Capstah What could be more foundational to my life than whether or not I exist? Seems like the main prerequisite there. Why gamble that things will just happen to work themselves out when you can grab hold of the future with your own hands?
