Pans will NOT be cut at any of the seven primary schools under threat. We had to shout loudly and spend hours going through the data and reading reports and make speeches in order to make this happen. It worked. Well done everyone involved @BrightonSave

Meetings have proved invaluable. If we do nothing we face losing schools. If we delay are we avoiding the inevitable says Jackie o'Quinn. We do not know what is happening. An extraordinary meeting is needed and a long-term plan to help schools and children thrive #LDreporter

The current proposals are unacceptable. Parents and carers across the city need to hear the impact of keeping large schools in affluent areas has on the most deprived schools.

Another amazing @CardenPrimary consultation this evening.Parents have spent so much time and energy on this. @MayorOfficeBHCC must allow each school with a petition to have it’s full 15 minutes discussion at full council tomorrow. #democracy @Stand4Bevendean

4/4 @RudyardSchool is also part of the consultation and has a staggering 38% of children on the SEND register. What will be the impact on our vulnerable children and the financial cost. @BrightonHoveCC has already over spent £400,000 on SEND provision. Will PAN reduction help?

3/4 @CardenPrimary @Cardenthriving This school is also part of the consultation and again has a specialist speech and language centre. Bevendean and Carden are both classed as special schools. They are also both shining examples of success.

We hope that those groups supporting our children with SEND are aware of the council's proposals to reduce PAN? Schools being targeted have the highest proportion of children from disadvantaged backgrounds and have SEND. @AmazeSussex @PaCCBrighton

🎶On the 6th day of xmas @CardenPrimary gave to the community 🙋🏿🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏻‍♀️more pupils joining each year as families move to the Hollingbury & Patcham area🎶 Pupil numbers are consistently higher than @BrightonHoveCC initial admissions figures. @BHGreens @bhlabour @BHConservatives
