Somewhere along the line it became the default opinion to believe voters have no agency in all this, as if they don’t bear any of the responsibility of protecting and maintaining our democracy, as if the people are just unwitting bystanders. It’s long past time for that to end

We lost 75 combat aircraft in desert storm to enemy anti air. We lost two aircraft in this war. We lost more combat aircraft to friendly fire than enemy fire.
We have lost less than a percent of our yearly military budget in equipment. While Iran 15b military budget will have to cover 30b air defense, 9b navy, 3b Air Force, 40b in military production infrastructure lost and unknown duel use infrastructure.

Iran being able to drop a few mine in the SOH and threaten civilian ships with drones is no different than Yemen rebels attacks on shipping. It also has nothing to do with our objectives in this war.
Iran has released a statement that they are willing to open SOH if we end our blockade. So guess Iran disagrees with you on that one.
As for our carrier being hit even if it was true it has no bearing on if we achieved our objectives or not. Assuming you’re talking about the ford which has come to port with no viable exterior damage. Other carrier is still operational and was sending air craft into combat up until cease fire.
