@TomFitton She wasn't ambushed. She was actively breaking into a locked government building. She failed to comply with verbal orders. If someone was actively breaking into your house and didn't stop even after you told them you would shoot, you would shoot them too.

@EndWokeness You left out the part where she was breaking into one of the most secure buildings in our country and refused to stop or leave. Anyone trying that hard to break into that build, I would think means to do harm.

Where’s the failure, 2nd officer is not assisting with the escort. It’s obvious that this suspect resisted before and while being handcuffed, which the 2nd officer should have had “hands-on” during the escort. Being that this female weighs between 125 to 145 lbs, there’s no reason to force a take down while she is restrained. Four basic physical techniques that police officers can use to obtain simple but effective control and compliance. The basic escort position, the basic wrist lock, the handcuffing wrist lock and the elbow to the sky control lock. Being that she was combative the “elbow to the sky” would have prevented her from kicking and moving around. I never had a problem, so let’s chalk it up with inexperience on the young officer
