If this image doesn’t break you, I don’t know what will. Despite Taliban banning female university education, this young woman stood outside Kabul University today, hoping that they may still let her in. The Taliban barbwired the main gate & only allowed male students to enter.

Brave women out on the streets of Kabul today following Talibans BAN on female education. “They closed the schools, the world remained silent. They closed our universities. Silence. Now our educational courses?. What are we supposed to do? Kill ourselves?”

Male university students have walked out of their exam in protest against Taliban’s decision to BAN female students from university education. Several male professors have also resigned so far. This must happen across the country NOW!

I agree. Whose genius idea was it to release UNFCCC synthesis report, a CAT report, UNEP GAP report *and* new IEA WEO all within 24hours of each other (and with barely any embargo period for journalists to, y'know, actually have time to read the 100s of pages and data)?

@rynkrynk (Or Iraq invasion). Russia’s blatant violation of the rules of sovereignty, aggression and war crimes are just considered the consequences of great power politics. No arguments seem to work and the conversation just ends in high tensions!

@rynkrynk The short answer is no. I have spoken to people from Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Philippines and Kenya who all see the war as either the “west’s” fault or an inevitable consequence of “nato expansionism” with the irrefutable what “about Syria / Palestine etc.”

So… have any of you lovely people actually come across someone who used to believe in all of the “Russia is defending itself against NATO” crap but then changed their mind because of well-sourced info and well-structured arguments to the contrary? Is there even a small
