How do I say this.... RCC: We eat Jesus' body. Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? Because proper exigesis is taking the literal sense of the statements first, and only if the literal makes no sense, to seek another. In this case, Jesus spoke in metaphor. Yes, his body truly was broken. Yes, his blood truly was shed. Nobody ever ate his flesh. Nobody ever drank his blood. And this is the blood we're talking about:
