@natecardingolf Then go watch another sport pal. Nobody said you needed to watch or play golf. If you don’t like what the pure form of the sport is, please exit the room. It’s not changing for you or any other moron like you, nor does it give a shit.

@Top100Rick Not knowing and having to manage the course in a different order is what creates drama. Every shot is worth that much more. Meanwhile we get to watch the winner hit balls on the range for 45 min… 👎🏻

Is there a better case against a shotgun style championship format than what we just watched at The Players?
Leave the LIV vs PGA out of it, just the actual logic here.
In a shotgun, Scottie would have finished on hole 3 today!! 😢
A golf course is designed with a cadence. The 16-18 stretch at Sawgrass is as good as it gets. It’s meant to be the finish, where the pressure builds all day and you step up to 17 with everything on the line.
The golf world focused on the final groups today. The pressure builds, you can actually focus on what’s happening and get the context of the situation. When guys are whacking it all over the course, that’s impossible.
Watching someone read and line up their pressure packed putt is awesome.
I’m at the point I don’t care who wins the “war”. But I do want a golf course to be played in the order it was designed and it seems painfully obvious that it’s the right way to go.

In addition to this, I would like to know why it is so incredibly difficult for you to wrap your head around how you and every other guy that made the leap have made golf solely about the money on both sides now. You’ve removed everything we loved about professional golf, Ian. The biggest golf tournaments of the year are the 4 majors, which are the purest and most competitive form of the sport. This brings in the most viewers because this is what we love to watch. While the PGAT events won’t ever come close to majors for us (neither will anything else, EVER), it still had this aspect (ex: competing to put dinner on your table). Sure, you were a very good player, but the money you were making was significantly more than what you’re actual worth was. You know why? Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, etc. So instead of being grateful for making significantly more than you were actually worth due to those men that actually grew the game, you and every other entitled prick wanted to try grab a chunk of change and say you were going to make a better product for the fans. *NEWSFLASH* In doing this, you have officially ruined the sport and made it the opposite of what golf fans actually want to watch. You’ve removed any true competitive aspect from professional golf and made it a giant money grab. I would imagine I don’t stand alone in saying I have and always will love golf, but I am done watching professional golf. I certainly hope that the people who got into golf during COVID (because it was the only thing anyone could do) stick around for you guys since that’s the golf fan you’re trying to appeal to now. Unfortunately I don’t think that will be the case though, and it hurts to think about you guys leaving golf in a worse place for us (yes I am part of the next generation) due to your incredible level of selfishness. The money may be bigger due to the financial backing, but that clearly doesn’t equate to more viewership/interest given the pathetic viewership numbers of LIV events so this isn’t growing the game!! We don’t care if you were making money for appearances before (which you still neglect to release the actual figures), the point is we didn’t hear about it. You didn’t leave for the product, you left for the money and as a result that’s what you’ve turned golf into removing the purity and greatness of the sport. Padraig, we are thankful for everything you do for the game.
English

Go for it. I’m curious for one. Forget politics, I’m nosey. For all those wondering, appearance fees generally require a number of commitments outside of the golf. But one would not happen without the other. From the outside @IanJamesPoulter always looked like he did a great job at appearances but I can’t tell if he was value for money until he spills the beans on what his fees were. Don’t comeback with you go first or I will if you will. We’re not 6 years old.

@mehdirhasan @elonmusk this guy paid for his followers, right? There’s no way 1.3 million people clicked follow for him, and the amount of likes/views on any tweets prior to this whole situation is laughable.

@rickyconstant27 Wishing him nothing but the best in retirement. Thank you for the memories, Pete..

@JeffBurnham @DJohnsonPGA If you watched DJ today, you wouldn’t have anyone in front of him. I’m just saying. Could’ve shot 59 pretty easily. Most of the guys on that list can’t carry his jock, and none have more majors than BK. Can’t discount that.
English

Sorry, but when he’s flowing I think @DJohnsonPGA is the best player in the world. It’s definitely DJ, Rory, Rahm, BK in that top tier. Need to see something from BK soon to keep him on that list. #LIVGolfChicago #LIVGolf

@RiggsBarstool Guy is unbelievable. Just a loose cannon almost firing balls into mothers in the stands. Can’t get enough of it.
English

@StevePass_00 @nextlevelbb He played the next level. Not something you’d know anything about buddy! #grind #nooffseason
English

@RiggsBarstool At least I’m not going crazy thinking this. Pat Perez is an open book so if he doesn’t come out and say it was for the money, there has to be something going on over there keeping them from saying it.

@jarch72 @Greg_Odonnell11 @barstoolsports @DrinkMamitas @TimRiggins You clearly haven’t seen Brucie’s rocket launcher without butter on his fingers

@ChiefAusty Sorry brother, we don't follow each other and don't have any mutuals. I would've never seen your tweet until you just sent it. And I would say our tweets are quite different anyhow.
English

Hey @danawhite
I've purchased just about every UFC PPV available, since the 90s. I don't want anything crazy but can you send a MF a key chain or something? Maybe a drink coaster?
English

@RiggsBarstool Has anyone like this ever won a fight? I need some stats. Could be easy money betting whoever the other guy is, I don’t care if he’s 4’5”.

@CollKell_14 Best question I’ve seen in a long time. Need an answer on this.

Update: It finally happened. Thankful for this day.

Every flight I think this is the flight…I’m gonna get a seat next to one of the hot girls on it. Every time I’m equally disappointed by what I get stuck next to.
