@ErynRico Looking at the numbers through the tomestone you showed and looking at the first time I cleared, looks like a lot of people were not very optimized versus someone not being fully melded. And I'm talking almost 4k missing on some DPS. But that's the nature of the beast.

@hellostal Doing other character trials can help in getting you a feel of the game overall, even if you don't main them.

i was stuck in here for an hour bc i decided it was a good idea to go straight to advanced, but we did this really cool flashy combo thing!! mai is not even my main, not sure why i committed..

@hellostal One big thing I will say. Play and learn to have fun. Even if your combos drop, or you misinput or lose some games, just remember to have fun.

@hellostal As someone who's played them both competitively and casually since Street Fighter 4, first, look at which character(s) you like. SF6 does give a basic tutorial but when you wanna learn your character of choice there are many high level players/matches you can look to rederence.

@spofiee People will just say it's toxic because either 1. Someone they follow said it is. 2. Someone they follow had a bad experience and aired it here. 3. They had a bad experience. The problem here is the range of "bad experiences" range from stalking to healer not adjusting in PF.

@KiwiCat_TV As someone who doesn't have the views, subs, etc. I agree. I'll look on pf and see some twitch streamer not nearly as big just being entertaining. Listening to people whine about the game or come out as being a bad person is tiring at this point. We need new people.

It's so sad to see this sentiment so commonly shared around the FFXIV sphere. I can't blame anyone for feeling this way. The truth is that so many amazing folks are farther down in the category on Twitch, have less than 10k subs on Youtube, and aren't "well-known" by the community. This game has 12 years of history but the same 10 names are always repeated, even after some of them have long quit the game. Raging and drama gets clicks, being nice and positive doesn't. It's a recipe for disaster. In summary, give someone new a shot if you want to consume FFXIV content, you might find someone really neat and make friends in their community.

@envinyon I feel like I've dodged a bullet considering I applied to be an editor for Drak a few weeks before this all happened. Seeing something like not talking as it will mess with the channel funds feels dirty. (I'm still looking for anyone who needs an editor btw for gaming! lol)
