Had this in my bio for a while, but I'm honoured to have had the opportunity to design levels for this cool new game. Can't wait to show you what levels I've been cooking up for this game in the coming months!

Coining the term "sabafication" to refer to a game series losing its unique charm and identity, or otherwise alienating established fans in a misguided attempt to pander to mainstream audiences. LittleBigPlanet fans know what I'm talking about.

@NAbuobeid5793 For the record, I don't actually hate SABA; it's perfectly fine, if a bit boring. My grievances are mostly about the direction it tried to push the LBP series into, not so much the game itself.

I know the ( a big adventure ) wasn't what we wanted like to be LBP4 but that doesn't mean the game is bad

I can see why they scrapped it. Bugs aside, it seems really difficult to build fun levels around, at least in this form; there's a lot of things about its design that I'd have done differently. But I can't lie, I would've loved messing around with this hazard back in the day.

It's still kinda wild to me that we actually have an LBP build with a working Ice Hazard. This mythical thing that only existed in blurry pre-release videos. Something people have recreated countless times with varying degrees of accuracy. And now we have it, for real.

@_KeanuReaves When the incredible diversity of first-party games we got on PS1/2/3 has been thrown out in favour of nothing but cinematic action games and bland, lifeless open worlds (all of which take over $200m and a decade to produce), I have a hard time calling that an even trade.

@Chunkinator104 Shit take imo. Of all the big publishers they are the only ones making competent games in that segment of the industry. Derivative? Sure? Like almost all games. But they are clearly not overproduced and creatively they are by far on the competent side of that discussion.

I wouldn't take as much issue with Sony's studios throwing out their established franchises every generation if their newer games were actually good and not soulless, derivative, overproduced, creatively bankrupt junk.

I adore the original backstory they came up with for LittleBigPlanet back in 2007. It perfectly captures the appeal of this innovative, quirky new IP. You can see elements of this in the final game's intro FMV, but something about this write-up really does it for me.

Thinking about how the closest thing Minecraft has to an official Plants vs. Zombies collab is a painting in the LBP Mash-up Pack, which is based on the Sunflower costume from LBP3's PvZ pack. IDK if they got permission from EA to use it, but that's really funny to me.

I recognise the irony in saying this as a PS3 defender — a console that's often cited as the "dark age" of PlayStation. But honestly that generation at its worst is still better, or at the very least more interesting to talk about than most of what they've done in recent years.

Can't wait for the revisionist history that's going to take place when the PS6 generation somehow ends up being worse than what we're going through now.
