Our goal has always been to deliver the best possible experience for the Linea community. We’ve actively been gathering community feedback to ensure a successful Linea launch for the project and our community members. While we initially targeted a launch in Q1, technical and design work, including with our community, is on-going. We think that it is in the best long-term interest of the Linea project and its community to get this right, so while we understand frustration around delays, our priority is to set Linea up for massive success over a timeframe of years and decades. Doing a great job on the TGE will complement the great job the technical team has done to make Linea the best-in-class zkEVM technology. Our commitment to you is to have continued transparent communications related to this as we finalize details. We will share some really exciting updates very soon as we approach the final stages.

@AbstractChain Suggestions for the Abstract team: Don’t count monetary volume for XP—it pressures users to move large sums and increases risk. Don’t force users to deposit big amounts just to join the XP airdrop. Engaging with many apps exposes them to security risks. Prioritize security!

Early this morning, the Abstract security team detected an exploit originating from Cardex, an app within The Portal. This was not a vulnerability in the Abstract Global Wallet (AGW) or the Abstract network itself but an isolated security failure by a third-party app (Cardex). We want to thank our engineering team, security researchers, Seal 911, and the Cardex team for their swift response in neutralizing the exploit and preventing further unauthorized access to user funds. The exploit was contained to approximately $400,000 in token value. Cause of the Exploit The Cardex team completed their initial audits to be approved to be listed on the portal, during this process the Cardex team inadvertently exposed the private key to their session signer on the front end of their website which was outside of the scope of the audit and a practice we warn about. This allowed an attacker to initiate transactions to the Cardex contracts for any wallet that had approved a session key with them. Abstract Security Standards Abstract follows a rigorous security process before adding any app to our portal. This includes: One-on-one onboarding with each team, collaboration on best security practices, and mandatory extensive security audits. We will continue to consult with builders and security experts regularly to refine our processes and set the industry standard for security and user protection. User Action Required To protect against potential attack vectors, we strongly recommend users regularly revoke approvals and permissions for apps and tokens in their Abstract wallet via Revoke: revoke.abs.xyz We appreciate the trust and support of our builders and users. Our primary focus now is working with Seal 911 to help Cardex remediate the situation and make users whole.
