Over dribbling and poor shot selection are epidemics in MS & HS hoops. As a society, we need to TEACH the game. Kids with any type of feel and IQ are becoming rarer. Correction is necessary.

As an AD, I try to compare real world situations to sports. In business, you don’t reward tenure, you reward impact. If a new employee outworks and outperforms a 10-year veteran, you invest in the one raising the standard, not the one maintaining it. That’s how sports and the real world correlate: it’s not about seniority, it’s about production, effort, and growth. Protect the standard or accept mediocrity.

If D1 schools aren’t recruiting you… that’s okay. Don’t be married to the level. Be married to the right fit. Keep working. Keep improving. Use the game to build your future. A degree doesn’t say D1, D2, or D3.

If you enter the transfer portal from a team that finished below .500, and you weren't an All-Conference player, I hope you PLAN on transferring "down." You don't have to enter the portal just for the sake of doing it. So many people seeking greener pastures that do not exist.
