@wch33 Wow! Thanks for sharing. I can’t imagine high school athletics without the NCHSAA. It would be like the state running itself without any elected officials. 🤔

Thankful to work with this team and have an impact on the next generation of NC school leaders. Really thankful for those graduate assistants who have enabled me to appear as if I knew what I was doing teaching virtually. Continuing to learn and grow 😀

“Gratitude is a divine emotion: it fills the heart, but not to bursting; it warms it, but not to fever.” —Charlotte Brontë From everyone at NELA, we wish for you a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday.

I can’t wait to see what we learn next! Thanks @gggstidham for a day filled with a wealth of information @WCPSS #wakefellows22

Saw on ESPN last night that one of my @NELA_NCSU students had a hole in one yesterday. Thought I saw and heard from @CoachMD_ during yesterday’s Zoom session, but that may have been an imposter sitting in.

@EducatingChamps The COVID-19 pandemic has proved students need relationships. Technology has helped us have a space to continue educating, but students need support and human interaction to fill in the gap. It’s imperative to know how to use technology AND how to inspire students.

NELA - Tweet #3 - Reflect on Hess’ video “Education Technology” and Edison’s quote in “Tinkering Toward Utopia” below. What connection(s) can you make to virtual learning and the pandemic?
“Faith in electronic pedagogy has returned again and again.”
English

@EducatingChamps Effective, cage-busting leaders see reframing as an art -- a fluid space lending an eye toward aspects of structural, human resources, political, and symbolic frames, and knowing there is always room for not only better or best but room for a breakthrough. Be empowered 2 reframe.
English

NELA - Tweet #2: As it pertains to leadership & change for school improvement reflect/post a response to the quote cited in Reframing Organizations by Boleman & Deal:
“We can’t always control the music life plays for us but we can choose how we dance to it.” ~ Anonymous

@PalmerMaeZing @EducatingChamps Leaders must be reformers in order to reform school improvement. Striving for excellence, creating a culture of buy-in, and inviting all to the table will allow space for a change that’s long overdue. @EducatingChamps
English

@EducatingChamps School improvement should be founded on trusting relationships with stakeholders that push students to excellence. We need to simplify the process, focus on the data, and invite all voices to the process to generate change.
English

NELA - Tweet #1 - “We have complicated school improvement.” ~Mike Schmoker
Reflect on the above statement that Mike Schmoker made as well as his comments regarding school improvement in the video clip. What are your thoughts and why?
