@sassycarrie This person knows nothing about me, my voting habits or what I’ve done with my life.
Lazy tropes and assumptions are their stock in trade.
@annatime94@sassycarrie You are as keen as Cassie to characterise me in whatever way suits you.
I’m not angry Anna and glad for this lovely day, hope you enjoy it too.
Bye!
@sassycarrie Well let me know when your hard core position makes some demonstrable change to the suffering of millions of people.
Meanwhile those of us that struggle with nuance and work outside the political sphere to make the world better will keep at it.
@annatime94@sassycarrie You know you’re on Twitter right? Public comment invites public response.
You and others that don’t like it could always start a WhatsApp to secure your echo chamber of self congratulation.
@Fiestywenchyone@sassycarrie I totally agree, some awesome binary thinking here on this thread, the ‘true left’ versus the rest. The irony of course will be lost on most.
@sassycarrie Had some good discussion on this in my politics class today actually- the frequency of which every thing gets locked into a binary mindset in Australian political landscape. Absolutely infuriating and freakin dangerous.
Isn’t it interesting that our illustrious ABC hasn’t even mentioned the disgusting behaviour of “Senator” Lidiot Thorpe outside the strip club. Tells me a lot!
@Anthonywodillon I throw you plenty of brickbats Anthony, so worth saying I agree with every word here. Timely too as young people feature in a lot of our culture wars, from the schools of Melbourne to the streets of Alice Springs.
We all should be setting an example, so thanks for the reminder.
You all know by now,
This up coming referendum for The Voice has nothing to do with Aboriginal welfare and everything to do with the acquisition of Land to force taxes on you, the Public.
To pay for things that were once free for you to enjoy.
You do.??
Goodo.👍👍👍
@Bergermeister23 I have heard whispers that they will actually change the type of Constitution we now have to a different type, We had the Colonial Contstitution, we now have a ?Corporate Type Constitution, will they go to a Republic Type?
@PaulineHansonOz@AlboMP But Pauline, you’ve been able to express your own repugnant and extreme views in that other representive chamber we call parliament.
Nobody knows better than you how silly ideas based on bad faith are rejected by such bodies.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese could attempt to “water down” the Voice proposal, amid growing concerns the referendum might be “in danger of failing”, says Financial Review Senior Reporter Aaron Patrick.

@ColStokes@imbalaska The voice is racist.
Opposition to the voice has always stated that enshrining something completely race based into our constitution is the problem.
The voice is bad in policy and will be worse in practice.
Opposition is clear.
The Yes campaign has always been vague.
I have just pledged my NO vote on the voice to Senator Jacinta Price's Fair Australia Campaign. You can pledge your vote, if you wish, just go to the Fair Australia Web page. It also contains statements & pictures of Aboriginal people who just want to be Aussies & pledged too 😊
@Ben16222067@imbalaska Patriarchal whiteness.
But again, don’t mistake respect for the right to vote for the right to talk nonsense in support of that vote. That’s not a right.
@ColStokes@imbalaska All she tweeted was the pledge to vote No which you’ve agreed is her democratic right and should be respected.
So what archaic view are you talking about?
