2 power plays, 1 harmless shot and the PP booed off the ice.
As for PP1, time to use Faber or Spurgeon. 2 fumble pucks for Brink ended possession on each of the first two power plays
@Colbert218@xTargetEMP@mnwildPR@mnwild Dallas did a good job clogging up the middle and kept them on the perimeter, so you’re right, very few if any high danger chances. Would honestly liked to have seen Faber put out there than Brink; him and Hughes cook together 🥲
4.5 periods with 7 power plays and #mnwild only managed to accumulate 2.00 TOTAL expected goals. #TexasHockey did a tremendous job of defending the middle of the ice and not letting the Wild get Grade A chances.
Hynes and his staff are going to need to watch the tape and figure out how to get this team back to the middle of the ice. The seam passes in the offensive zone in Game 1 opened up those chances, can they find that game again is the question.
@sportzenter0@xTargetEMP@mnwildPR@mnwild i know they had the 2on1 with boldy and ekk and couldnt finish. we should have won before overtime! honestly tho most those powerplays i actually dont remember having any high danger chances. but i dont know how hynes puts brink in pp1 hes not even a starter.. wtf
@Colbert218@xTargetEMP@mnwildPR@mnwild 1 PP goal the whole game, I’m saying they had plenty of chances and dint bury when they had the other 6 powerplays. I was agree with you lol
@Starstx23@mnwildPR true but foligno didnt cost us. we have higher value players that need to get it done. if zuccy wasnt out we win. if trenin isnt out we most likely win.
@sportzenter0@xTargetEMP@mnwildPR@mnwild what you mean we had 2 PPs while in overtime. 1 powerplay goal would have won the game. we had how many 7 powerplays? so lets say 2 pp goals wins it? they had 0 urgency on the powerplay.
@Colbert218@xTargetEMP@mnwildPR@mnwild THIS. The excuses never stop. 1 PP goal ain’t going to get it done. Kaprizov missing, too much perimeter play, lazy shots, the team just doesn’t seem to know how to play playoff hockey
@xTargetEMP@mnwildPR@mnwild i get you but hes a 3rd line d. his job is to protect in front of net. i agree hes prolly our weakest dman but he didnt cost us this game
@Colbert218@mnwildPR@mnwild I’m not saying that was his fault. He just has absolutely zero value to the wild. He can’t keep up, and when he gets the puck he lazily dumps it into the stars zone and turns it over.
@ZfaxJus@mnwild yes! he should have switched johansson in to take brinks spot.. ffs jojo fucking scored. but nahh lets do same thing 7 times in a row trash coaching
@xTargetEMP@mnwildPR@mnwild it wasnt bogos fault.. yurov had time and didnt need to throw it out of play. we should have won way before that. blame the coaches for not changing up the pp strategy.
@mnwildPR you guys deserve that loss.. bad coaching.. cant draw up anything different on pp. keep putting brink and tarasenko in ???? even tho it doesnt work for 15min.. pathetic.
@bracketjunky9@DallasStars@Patron cuz hynes keeps putting brink in on pp1 line instead of johansson. and so you just get hughes and boldy just playing catch ffs
Jamie Benn takes another offensive-zone penalty. Held Nick Foligno for 7 seconds and then threw him down. 5th PP since the start of OT for Minnesota, 3rd with the game 3-3
Quinn Hughes didn't disclose what he was dealing with, but said he felt as "good as I can" during game. Feels the week away from the ice was a "blessing in disguise" considering how much hockey he played this year. Played 24:30. Believes he'll feel better for Game 2 #mnwild
