“I won’t wear a mask if Hantavirus becomes a pandemic”
No one cares. You won’t be around long enough for anti mask trolling this time around, so good luck beating the 30-50% mortality.
@VaxxedSax@keetmuise It will be pointless at that point I’d rather take my chances dying then living in constant fear of it spread I don’t want to live in a world that’s that fucked anyways
@keetmuise This will end much much worse than Covid. The incubation period alone is such that it’ll spread faster, and people will be in contact with far more people. 🤷🏼♂️
Once it goes parabolic, ppl will begin to understand the gravity of the situation.
@bracketjunky9@dahi_kachorie@outbreakupdates You obviously haven't read anything about the 2018-19 outbreak of ANDV in Argentina that infected 30 ppl at a birthday party and killed 11 of them then.
One of the most important forgotten facts about Andes hantavirus:
Argentina already experienced a real human-to-human outbreak large enough to trigger lockdown-style public health measures.
@bracketjunky9@dahi_kachorie@outbreakupdates I think you're misreading deliberately.
She almost certainly means ONLY the people exposed should be quarantined- so we don't all end up exposed and needing lockdowns (voluntary or mandatory).
This disease is quite literally more than 10-20x more deadly than Covid was.
@Borg_Cryptos Hantavirus panic feels like pure fear bait right now. Markets already jittery but calling it worse than covid crash is a stretch nobody serious is pricing that in yet.
Is Hantavirus the next pandemic? Let’s look at the facts before the fear-mongering takes over. While it is a serious virus with a high mortality rate, the data shows it doesn’t spread easily between humans. Here’s why I’m not panicking—and why you shouldn’t either.
