@someguysbackyrd Good ole shovels and piles of sand next to each green. Sling the sand out of the shovels like a slap shot. Buy or rig up a few drag mats that you can pull around the green. Work in the heavy spots and where the sand pile was with a stiff bristled hand broom.

Supers, turfy's and other sand slingers - we need some advice. What is a mega budget (~$500) way to topdress/sling a few ton of sand, evenly, over our greens and tees? We don't have the bandwidth to dry the sand out, so needs to be sturdy - broke two broadcast spreaders already.

If possible, early morning irrigation cycles to remove frost work reasonably well. My efforts w/ wetting agents have had mixed results so I'll let others comment on this.

@jsreinecker I agree. I had an employee on a sod farm many years ago. He as instructed to grease his mower twice a day. We come to realize that he greased his mower at the beginning and end of every day. Thus, twice a day.

Just met @will_groover about his microplot data. I'm amazed that inoculation with our root bacteria has the same effect on nematodes in bermudagrass as a nematicide. These data and other work from @auburnturf are building a good case for 'organic' management of root pests of turf

@bwinka @FoliarPak What species of grass? My experience with nutrient packages for enhanced color do well on cool season grasses, but no to very little effect on warm season grasses.
