@CryptoCyberia Another thing is back then we didn't have GPUs with giant coolers that take up 3 to 4 slots on your case, while drawing as much power as a microwave that risks burning down your house!!

@F_A_T_W_ @CryptoCyberia I put a lot of the blame for the RGB vomit on bandwagon streamers trying to appeal to a young demographic, & companies going yes money!! I do all my builds with as few lights as I can.

@cqcqcqdx MS Windows has never been that good, it just had its moments when it was tolerable, & usable, like 98se, XP SP3, & 7, if it was still good I wouldn't have moved all my systems to Manjaro Linux, & Android over a decade ago, not looking back.

@Russ197975 @toys_retro Nope, it's a Ronco Pocket Fisherman, works fine for small to medium sized freshwater fish. My dad always kept a couple in his truck along with a mini tackle kit, we'd go by our cousin's pond when broke, snag a catfish or some crappie, & you had dinner.

@KevOnStage This was the pitcher both my mother, & g-ma had. I still have the one my g-ma left me, & use it for special occasions, but it was usually frozen OJ/Tang, or on the rare occasions Flavor-Aid as it was cheaper than Kool-Aid

@BlabberingC It's not hard to replace your own, but you will probably need about $400 in equipment to ensure it's done right, so it tends to cost the same the first time.

@DoingFedTime @zacbowden Agreed as it only keeps getting worse, I've been fully Linux, and Android on all my devices since 2015 even at work where I told my boss I'd quit if I was forced to use Windows again, they backed off, & I don't regret it one bit.

BREAKING: Microsoft just announced several major changes to Windows 11 in an effort to win back user trust and evolve the platform into something people will actually want to use over macOS and Linux! It's a huge announcement that addresses Windows 11's biggest problems today, tackling core fundamental issues such as unreliable system performance, UX consistency, AI bloat and general enshittification. Microsoft has confirmed that this year, it WILL be reducing where ads and Copilot appear throughout the system, including in Start, Widgets, Notepad, Photos, and more! File Explorer and Windows Search will be upgraded with improved performance and capabilities that make finding apps and files much faster and easier. The OS will become lighter with less RAM and system utilization at idle, making it smoother to run on low end hardware with limited memory. These improvements will also benefit high-end PCs too. Windows Update will be improved with more granular controls and the ability to postpone updates for longer, along with reducing how often the OS needs to restart to install an update. Microsoft has also confirmed that it's bringing back fan favourite features such as the ability to move the Taskbar! It's also working to update more areas of the system shell with modern WinUI designs, which should make Windows 11 feel more coherent and complete. There's much more in the announcement, and it honestly all sounds too good to be true. Microsoft really is listening to feedback, and is eager to make Windows the BEST desktop OS on the market. More details including when these changes will arrive in the link! windowscentral.com/microsoft/wind…

@zacbowden MS lost me in 2015 w/Win 10 being a resource hog, & the update that deleted files I was working on off my main SSD(I had backups but a little behind), so I've been on Linux, & Android ever since, & so for me there's nothing they could ever do to win me back.

@Shivam25mishra Mint, but I personally don't us any Ubuntu based distros, & for the last few years I've been using Manjaro Gnome, & XFCE w/good success, but they are having some dev. infighting right now, so we will see what comes of it.

@MakeAugusta @strangepartscom With Apple moving so much of their production to from China, to India, I've got a feeling they are just making sure they can keep the quality control up for the next few years. I've also got a feeling that might be why the Macbook Neo is so simple in design.

@RealPostFolder This is exactly why the Rothschilds and oligarchs and globalists are running after Valve. And we should support Valve. They're one of the last companies that have decency left.

@silv3rnode @techknight2 Yep plus it's 32bit, and not 64bit. What I'm really wondering how hard is it hitting the page file on his SSD when it runs out of system ram, which can lead to early flash burn out.

@techknight2 Winamp ran on a 233MHz Pentium with a single core... just saying it's not exactly out of reach for something with multiple cores at 20x the clock speed.
