They say don't show your weaknesses here. Don't show your true self. Never give them anything too "real." They're right, but that's just not me. I don't want to be fake. It's one of the only things I have that I feel like people respect, even the ones who hate me. I want to apologize to my viewers for diving back into my vices with drink and nihilist thinking. I went to Wisconsin to do a documentary, to pile on Quartering, to be the "Ralphamale." It didn't work out the way I'd planned. It's not Scarlett's fault. It's mine for thinking that was something I could do in a disordered state. I've lost my smile, as Shawn Michaels once said. There's no one to blame but myself. Things start piling up when you live the gimmick. Then, you look back up the mountain and wonder how you can get to the place you once were...or anywhere near it. I've looked up that mountain so many times. The hardest part is I knew better and dove back in anyway. I'm so appreciative of all the love and support I've gotten over the years, this year included. I'm sure a lot of my friends and supporters are disappointed in me. I'm disappointed in myself. I know that this is my calling. This is what I've dedicated my life to. The drama and hate sometimes feels so meaningless. Because it is. I've played my fair part in it all. I realize this will read as hypocritical to some. Well, we're all hypocrites. The bill eventually comes due, though. The Wages of Sin. I'm not cashing it in. I wanted to come back today. I'm just focusing on drying out and Cleo is acting a little strange. I think it's anxiety over Smoke. Regardless, I have to take her back into the vet for my own peace of mind and her checkup. No openings left today. Tomorrow morning is the plan. I'm rambling like a mental patient, at this point. Maybe that's an apt comparison. I should have done an outline! This shit can really eat you alive, if you let it. I have. Still, I ain't heard no bell. I hope to be back tomorrow. I pray that some of you have gotten something good from my public life. Or, at least some entertainment. ;) ER
