And I’ve had people criticize my strict guidelines that I have for the few clients I work with now and I understand their position, but I need people to understand that I’m not the only one doing this. I only have two strict guidelines that few circulating clients I have right now have to follow. I have an exclusivity clause where they only can work with me as a photographer and that they tag me when they use the content I make for them. That’s it that’s all I require. I only work with about seven people now because I’ve earned their trust in the quality of work I do and I like to think that the caliber of clients I have is very high so their opinions mean something not just to me but to other people. These clients are also my good friends. I care about them and I don’t want them to do things that would actively harm their own brands. I put a lot of effort into my content to make sure that they get the quality they need to represent their brands..

I’m gonna make this as abundantly clear as I possibly can. I treat what I do like a business and I have my clients agree to things out of good faith. I’m not going to sue you because you didn’t do exactly as I asked, but it will contribute to whether or not I work for you again. I am an artist. I want my work represented correctly and fairly. When you work with me, you get a quality that you won’t get by taking your own photos. You get a quality from someone who not only has years of experience, but an educational background. I deserve the respect that you will follow the wishes that I outline before I work with you. I don’t want to be a hard ass about anything. Virtually everyone I have ever worked with is now a friend. Part of the reason why I only work with a small select number of creators now is because I was burned by people who took advantage of my good nature. I am too old and too self-respecting to let that happen again. We photographers do hard work, coordinating our photo shoots, doing the actual shoot, and then painstakingly editing our work so that it is up to par for the expectations that not only our clients demand, but that we demand of ourselves. What we do is art if you can’t respect that then we want nothing to do with you. Whoever sent this to Canadian is an absolute moron. Please do the rest of us a favor and shut the ever loving hell up.

Got a couple: Hollow Knight & Silksong: I love metroidvanias. I hate metroidvanias where extremely precise platforming is required. Expedition 33: RPGs are my favorite genre, but I cannot stand the “quick time” stuff in turn based RPGs. I don’t doubt everything else about the game is amazing, but I just couldn’t get past the combat.

My guy, felony theft is heavily depending on state classification. Felony theft in my state if $1000, so at best this would be a class e misdemeanor that the judge would look at, look at the prosecution and ask why you're wasting their time and throw it out. A physical item you have and a digital product that REQUIRES a subscription to work aren't seen nearly anywhere the same in a court of law.

I’m a ‘zoning official’. First off, im sorry that it seems that the official she worked with couldn’t explain to her why the rules are in place. A vast majority of zoning rules (at least in reasonable states) are not in place to unnecessarily restrict a property owner. They are in place to protect you from your neighbors doing stupid stuff that effects your property or you doing something that you no nothing about that will effect you (such as building in a flood plain and then not be able to insure the building).

🚨 WOMAN BUYS 37 ACRES — CITY SAYS SHE CAN’T BUILD A TINY HOME ON HER OWN LAND She walks into the municipal building thinking she just needs a permit to put a small tiny home on her property. Not a subdivision. Not an apartment complex. One additional small home. On 37 acres she owns. The zoning officer tells her: “You’re zoned for ONE house only.” “You can’t add another dwelling.” “There’s a 100-year floodplain on part of your land.” “And if you try to rezone it, they probably won’t approve it.” She pushes back. The land doesn’t flood. They installed drain tile. There’s more than enough room. It’s for her kids to live on the family property when they’re older. Doesn’t matter. Under zoning law, “ownership” doesn’t mean you decide what gets built. It means the city does. Even on 37 acres. Even if you pay the taxes. Even if it doesn’t flood. Even if it’s for your own kids. If they don’t approve it, it doesn’t happen. So now what started as “fill out a form” turned into a fight over zoning maps, floodplain designations, and government approval to use land she already owns. She thought ownership meant control. Turns out it means paperwork. If you can’t build one extra tiny home on 37 acres you own… is it really your land?
