Why do most traders make the wrong decisions? Because their brain 🧠 creates a mis-perception that will lead to the least amount of pain and most pleasure able outcome. For example… If you hold spot, you see the most bullish outcomes always because thats what you need to see. If you are in stable coin and ready to deploy you see the next 100x gem. If you are a perps trader, you see momentum about to explode. If you are a short seller, you see the next big crash about to happen. This is called confirmation bias. Confirmation bias is a cognitive bias (an error in thinking) that describes the human tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and remember information in a way that confirms or supports one's existing beliefs or hypotheses.  This process is largely unintentional and serves as a mental shortcut, allowing the brain to process information quickly and efficiently. However, it can lead to poor decision-making and a skewed understanding of reality because it results in individuals ignoring or undervaluing evidence that contradicts their preconceptions.  How do you break yourself of this illusionary state? You have to work to disprove your own thesis. Use a system that tries to contradict your own next move and score it, with pros and cons. If you are able to be objective and the score is very high, make the investment or the trade. If the score is low or unsure, restrain yourself. Being a quick trigger trader or investor will lead to a lot of poor decisions, if you take the time to disprove yourself and its possible, pass. If you cant disprove it then you have beat your own worst enemy, yourself.
