@SamHain31st You'd think with his reputation as a performative male feminist he wouldn't like the game where Samus is ordered around by a man and is shown to be emotionally weak in cutscenes. That being said I do miss him. His antics were as entertaining as they were infuriating.

@Kiru_Tigrist I think the points moot because Caine wether realizing it or not is always speaking to them from a position of authority. Their flaws are petty by comparison cuz they have no real power. Zooble tried talking to Caine but he borderline ignored them.

He's not just torturing them. By showing them all this, he tries to prove to himself and to them that their words sound illogical and go against reality. That he LISTENS. That he KNOWS. That they do this to THEMSELVES.

Saw a couple of responses to the news of my return to games that I thought to answer. Rumors like these always seem to take on a life of their own. Perhaps this will nip that in the bud? Probably not 😂 First, people rightly asking about the fact that I signed an agreement with EA not to develop any games based on "Alice in Wonderland" (the original IP) without their involvement. And given that there's Alice stuff (the Victorian McGee plushies) in Dreadfuland - how does this fly? The answer is based on the fact that since I signed that agreement (way back in 1998), laws in California related to "right to work" have changed such that blocking me from work based on that agreement would be illegal. This is something I've known for a while - but not something I was willing to test with a new game based entirely on the public domain Alice books. While I might win such a court case, it would be an expensive and stressful thing to deal with. With the Plushie Dreadfuls game? There's enough of a clear distinction between it and the Alice games (entirely different main character, obviously different name, etc) that someone would be hard pressed to suggest it creates "confusion" for consumers in relation to my "Alice" games. Second, gamers being gamers, I've seen a few suggesting that Dreadfuland is a "cash grab" (man, they love that phrase) and that it somehow suggests I'm desperate for cash since Plushie Dreadfuls must be failing. Thank you, for reminding me how pervasive this kind of logic is in the gaming communities. Someone should do some psychological research on why this is the go-to response gamers have to ... well, anything. And, no, Plushie Dreadfuls isn't failing. We just sold our 400,000th plushie and were told by our Google Ad Rep that we're now the #3 most-searched-for plushie brand in the world (cue the wailing from /plushies). Quite the opposite of the gamer theory - it is the success of Plushie Dreadfuls that opens the door for the possibility of a game. I'll continue to post art, story, and further details related to Dreadfuland as we move forward. But right now, I need to finish packing for a trip up north. Taking the kids snowboarding for the first time ever. Woo! ❄️

@Hoocherhooch @WinkySteve Seems pretty obvious to me that they wanted to try and replicate the blockyness of the N64 models. Some sort of abstract joke about their transition to higher polygons didn't mean they got rounder and softer like so many other characters.

That's right. 'Banjo X' never really got off the ground though. This model is what made me want to do the hard-edged blocky style you see in Nuts n' Bolts. Too soft and boring I thought at the time. Seems people would have preferred this though...
