@Pixio01 Yeah the starvation plotline is very "loose/shakey" but considering that one of the devs gave it out and it fits K Rool as a character I'd like to roll with it. But yeah, as you've said, the main point is he is extraordinarily kruel to the kongs in comparison to Bowser & Mario

@Xeneza apparently, the starvation thing isn't really canon, but a "potential" explanation given by one of the devs. They probaly didn't thought too deep while doing the game but even then, the idea of him hating and being way more cruel to the kongs than Bowser is to Mario still stays

@Xeneza I would call the starvation plot dubious. It was kind of a retroactive "maybe they were trying to starve the kongs" justification. I doubt Nintendo sees it as canon. But otherwise I agree with basically everything in this assessment. Goomhilde is a girl, though, lol

@BeezyLoove Yeah Dedede is selfish rather than outright being "evil" esp with how often he helps later on and is shown chilling with Kirby and Co.

@GandeonTriesArt @Xeneza @darkwanderer64 there's also speculation where he was just being greedy for stealing all the food in dreamland in the first game instead of just, being evil, obviously is malicious but i dont believe dedede was ever evil to me

@GandeonTriesArt Quite a few actually, there's 3 "Robo-Dedede" from Dream Course, Scope Shot, and Air Riders. Dunno bout a ghost tho? You may be thinkin of Clone Dedede from Robobot? Not sure..

@Xeneza @darkwanderer64 Sorry for the ignorance(not at all familiar with the Kirby timeline), but I was just wondering when he became an ally. I know there are games where he helps Kirby, but iirc there's a compilation of all DDD fights and that goes up to the 3DS. Or were some of those just sparring?

@Xeneza One thing I don't see mentioned in these is bowser was born into koppa loyalty while K. Rool is said to be a pirate captain first before declaring himself king. This reason and the ones listed above makes me want to see them interact cuz K. Rool would see Bowser as a rich kid.

@darkwanderer64 Surprisingly yeah, like Dedede just took a fuck ton of food and Kirby rightfully beat his fat ass for that and then afterwards he mellowed out and consistently helps the lil guy whenever bad shit is happening (goat behavior)

@darkwanderer64 I was thinking about this recently and I feel like Dedede was in a "K Rool" spot in the past and has moved into a "Bowser" spot and then fully developed his own spot. He *was* an outright villain but that's far behind him and nowadays he's hella chill and a respectable king

@GraighSoul Yeah some of these are the thoughts I had as well. While I do agree that Bowser can be a bit of a dumbass at times it is extremely inaccurate to say he "fears for his life" when this is the same guy who stood his ground against a prophesied calamity with no hesitation nor fear.

@Xeneza Bowser isn’t a dimwit, clumsy sure, but not a dimwit. He’s also not careless, he cares deeply for his son, and on many occasions plans out his plots and carries them out rather well. Finally, I’ve never actually seen him “fear for his life”, if anything, he’s very much brave.
